cbmartinez 03-06-2008 07:16 PM

is it that venue The Warehouse Next Door?

ATM 03-06-2008 07:20 PM

WND shut down, it's at this place called the Fight Club. Never been but it looks amazing:

cbmartinez 03-06-2008 07:24 PM

I know, I was so upset. Warehouse Next Door used to have great emo shows and stuff and it closed before I started freshman year. Not to mention Mass Movement Of The Moth also broke up right before I came.

i like the song that was playing when i clicked on it ("Medicate Me!" by the Nevous Habits). where in DC is this place at?

Anxious 03-06-2008 07:31 PM

You're not in the know.

cbmartinez 03-06-2008 07:31 PM

Also, Wilco's "Impossible Germany" is one of the most beautiful songs ever.

Apparently it's in NW somewhere. My buddy said his brother linked up with some skaters who told him about it.

Apparently some pictures of it were in Transworld at some point.

Ummmmmm right now the Klaxons are rocking my computer. I'm surprised. This album held up way better than I initially expected.

no juxtaposition, really. BIG and big buttz go hand in hand. like PB & J

Anxious 03-07-2008 01:06 PM

perriwinkle is the most annoying being I can imagine.

Neil Young - Harvest

I can't stop listening to the title track. oh and the rest of the album's great too.

Anxious 03-07-2008 02:07 PM

I grew up with that album, my dad has it on vinyl. The cd remaster sounds so shitty compared to it.

pixiesfanyo 03-07-2008 02:08 PM

yeah, especially the ****ing timpanis.

Anxious 03-07-2008 02:12 PM

If there were two albums meant to be exclusively heard on vinyl, those would be Psychocandy and Harvest.

lol

Time 03-07-2008 04:53 PM

yeah, I did notice that the sound quality of the Harvest remaster on my computer was less than stellar.

John Coltrane - A Love Supreme
I got sick of playing jazz stuff on my drums and just stopped listening to jazz altogether for a while, but I'm really getting back into it. I usually like playing bop stuff, but I still love the free jazz type stuff like A Love Supreme. Elvin Jones is one of my favorite drummers.

Eliminator 03-07-2008 05:42 PM

that album isnt really free jazz but its still great

sweboy 03-07-2008 05:51 PM
