No seriously, the bands aren't very similar aside from being the same genre.
It's like saying Minor Threat and Black Flag are basically the same band. |

okay mappy i know you don't understand so i'll spell it out. for you and everybody.
Do you know how every Beneath the Massacre song sounds the same? Well to them it doesn't, because their brains have rewired in the process of writing that music. Each song actually probably sounds pretty different to them. Or you know how (some of you) can't tell an Explosions in the Sky song from a Mogwai song from a Caspian song? You know how some people think Dogs the Bounty Hunter looks like Shawn Michaels but you just can't see it? Our brains are different, and different sensory input causes different output. It's simple. You can't say it's a retarded comparison because you don't know what he hears. I think Journey and Foreigner sound the same, but somebody who listens to that type of music all the time would tell me different. That said, although I don't necessarily agree with (or care about) his comparison, the vocalsr, the drummers' underlying style (although not necessary all of their playing), and certain aspects of the rhythm guitar (especially the tonality) are all very similar |

Not according to metal archives. Tommaso Riccardi and Francesco Paoli are two different people, believe it or not, they're just both guidos so it's hard to tell. But Hour Of Penance's drummer did play session drums on Fleshgod's album. |
Not according to metal archives.
what does it matter |
You just don't get it man.
They're completely different people lol. The only similarity is that Hour Of Penance's drummer recorded drums for their album lol. |
shut up everyone

Six Feet Under just came out with a cover CD not too long ago. |
w-t-f mate?
Death is sick because Chuck started out sounding like Matt Heafy and then started doing really bad shrieks.
I do like TSOP though.
LOL sorry for bringing this up from a few pages ago but this is seriously THEEEE most retarded thing I've read on this site. Chuck was a brutal monster. Matt Heafy is a little kid in comparison. Niether ever sound alike. If you like 'The Sound of Perseverance' but not the other albums, then you are missing out on a whole lot of good death. Also someone said 'Symbolic' and TSOP are awful. You are an idiot. TSOP is amazing, and Symbolic or Human are two of the best death metal albums of ALL TIME. In fact, those two albums are perfect. Death was an amazing band. Chuck was on vocals and guitar blasting huge but brillaint riffs, some amazing song structures, powerful lyrics and vocals, always clever and technical drums from Sean Reinert (Cynic), Gene Hoglan (Dethklok, Straping Young Lad), Richard Christy. On ITP, King Diamond guitar player Andy LaRoque shreads some insane lead guitar ('Trapped in a Corner' solo. Bobby Koeble on Symbolic plays two of the most beautiful and crazy solos ever on "Zero Tolerence" and "Perennial Quest". For Chuck's sake!, please give yourself another listen. |
you hear that mappy, give yourself another listen
|
For Chuck's sake! Golly gee!

Golly Gee? It was a pun on for ****'s sake. I'm starting to think the "symbolic - awful" comment was a joke, yes? |
so what do you think of incantation?
|
so what do you think of incantation?
Death > Incantation |
Death would barely/not make my top 10 favorite death metal bands of all time tbh.
|
wouldn't be near mine
|
they may have an album in my top 10, but idk beyond that
|
Death > Incantation
