White Heat I just noticed your avatar- nice :thumb:

I've never seen that episode. I had the Who in the Simpsons as my avatar for a while.

White_heat 06-20-2005 08:14 PM

I don't think there was an episode with them, not sure. I just happened to find that pic at google

magicbus 06-20-2005 08:16 PM

Speaking of them, Gov't Mule also play a song on the dvd (haven't watched it yet), The Dead play a song (I didn't like it very much though), and The Los Lonely Boys play one of the coolest modern blues songs I've ever heard.

ATM, the Burning Spear song is called Postman.

And, Robert Randolph does a song. Basically, this dvd rules.

Broken Arrow 06-20-2005 08:17 PM
You could also try out a Vox, those are really good. Hendrix used them a lot
Haha, those are the 2 I was keeping in mind.

Cry Baby and Vox. I'll have to pick when I get there.

I have a Cry Baby Classic. You might want to check that out.

ATM 06-20-2005 08:20 PM

I've got an Ibanez autowah.

Wait....VU were on The Simpsons? Those are, like, my two favorites things ever!

White_heat 06-20-2005 08:23 PM

Yeah I've got a Cry Baby classic too, and its really good, but with all that money you have, a Vox Clyde McCoy wah would be a better choice, it's a class above the normal wah really.

White_heat 06-20-2005 09:21 PM

Ringo Starr Is On The Daily Show Right Now!!!!!!

MalcolmYoungRock 06-20-2005 09:52 PM

I three have a Cry Baby classic and I'm quite satisfied with it, although the signal gets kind of weak when it's low on batteries.

....an autowah...come on!

I've got an Original Crybaby. It's pretty damn old and a little beat up, but it still works perfectly. When I first got it (used of course) it barely worked at all, so I took it back to the store and the guy who was fixing it said it didn't look like it hadn't been used for decades.

I didn't want an autowah, but my dad got it for me for my birthday and I didn't have the heart to tell him he got the wrong thing :/

I've had that happen too, so I can sympathize. I never have the heart to tell people when they buy me crappy gifts. At least he knew you liked guitar. My parents just give me money because "I don't have any interests anymore" apparently.

Well I told my parents I wanted a wah wah pedal, and my dad didn't realize he bought an autowah. It's still cool, though.

Illmatic 06-20-2005 10:33 PM

What's an autowah?

/confused

I almost bought an autowah because I couldn't find any normal wahs that I could afford. Thank god for used effects.

Did I ever tell you guys that I was so inspired the first time I saw The Big Lebowski that the next day I went to the principal of our school, and asked to start a bowling club. A few days later it was started, and about twenty people showed up for the first few weeks...it was awesome. Of course we all lost interest after a while.
Ringo Starr Is On The Daily Show Right Now!!!!!!
Yah, I caught that. He was pretty entertaining.

Badmoon 06-20-2005 10:35 PM

Cool, my school actually has a bowling team. The movie owns; awesome cast and everything.

Seafroggys 06-20-2005 10:59 PM

What I missed Ringo on the Daily Show? ****ING HELL! I love Ringo, and I love the Daily Show. **** mother ****ing son of a bitch.

Glitterati 06-20-2005 11:10 PM

ATM 06-20-2005 11:11 PM

The replay those shows so much, I am sure you can catch it later.

Illmatic 06-20-2005 11:12 PM

They had Ringo on months ago...must have been a rerun.

I love the jazzy guitar at the beginning of the Femi Kuti song. It sounds so cool.

the drummer and the bassist made it for me. but thats some unbelievable energy from all of them.

Canadian-Guy 06-21-2005 12:49 AM

Los Lonely Boys are great.

So I found out on the last day of school my Socials teacher is seeing John Mellencamp with John Fogerty, She's lucky. Anyone else seeing those guys?

Seafroggys 06-21-2005 01:46 AM

Oh, heh, forgot I'm on west coast, so shows come on later.

Yeah, I saw Ringo. Good show I might add.

Is anyone going to get his album?

Glitterati 06-21-2005 02:22 AM

I just saw a rerun of that episode. "I could start thinking, but we've only got ten minutes." Whatta guy.

But I don't think I'd buy his new album.

His last was pretty good, but then again my parents bought it. I may have thought diferently if I had spent my own hard earned cash on it

It will be on today (Tues.) at 7pm

Broken Arrow 06-21-2005 09:29 AM

Does anyone here like Keller Williams?

I might, Ringo is just so cool. I also heard Robert Randolph plays guitar on it, that would awesome if it's true, but I don't remember where I heard that. I don't own any of Ringo's solo albums but I bet they would be really fun to listen to.

Broken Arrow 06-21-2005 10:40 AM

So I found out I fractured my shoulder. :/

Its been like this for about a week but I never went to the hospital, but today I went to have it looked at and its fractured.

magicbus 06-21-2005 10:53 AM

That sucks, how'd you do it?

Broken Arrow 06-21-2005 11:04 AM
That sucks, how'd you do it?
I ran down a giant hill in a forest and at the very end of it when I was running really fast I tripped over a root and went flying and landed on my shoulder.

Illmatic 06-21-2005 11:27 AM

There's an MTV reality show coming out called "The 70's House" where all the culture (TV, clothing style, appliances, music, everything) is from the 1970's. I got to thinking that there are probably some thread regs here who could do just fine on that show.

He is playing moe.down, I asked my parents if I could go, and they responded with a very stern, "NO."

Broken Arrow 06-21-2005 12:18 PM
