I would but my time is being consumed by this history homework that needs to get done within the hour or so, if I don't get it finished I'm pretty much fucked. :\

Tyler 12-16-2007 11:07 PM

Valhall 12-16-2007 11:11 PM

Good band.

Cheer up Josh; there will be plenty of other nights you can brag about your anal adventures.

AA-12 12-16-2007 11:15 PM

if there's a will there's a way!

Valhall 12-16-2007 11:16 PM

Man, my right wrist is starting to feel really stiff as of late, and my fingers get numb sometimes...especially after typing or playing guitar for a while. It ****ing sucks.

AA-12 12-16-2007 11:17 PM

I've had that problem for around 2 to 3 years. It sucks for sure. I think mines from using the computer a ton and gaming, not so much guitar.

Valhall 12-16-2007 11:18 PM

I used to BMX , and that's the only other time it happened, is when I was playing guitar a lot and BMXing.

NemesisDivina 12-16-2007 11:20 PM

...I'm pretty sure those are symptoms of carpel tunnel.

Valhall 12-16-2007 11:21 PM

I fucking hope not. My uncle had to get surgery for that shit after doing the same as me: BMXing and playing guitar a lot. I really don't like the idea of surgery.

AA-12 12-16-2007 11:22 PM

I guarantee you it's carpal tunnel. I have it.

Valhall 12-16-2007 11:25 PM

I'm going to be one pissed off mother****er if it starts affecting my ability to trem pick at high speeds.

pulseczar 12-16-2007 11:26 PM

get ready to be one pissed mother****er

Valhall 12-16-2007 11:27 PM

It's been getting pretty bad as of late.

AA-12 12-16-2007 11:28 PM
I'm going to be one pissed off mother****er if it starts affecting my ability to trem pick at high speeds.
That's one thing it wont. You keep your wrist tight and don't move it when trem picking. It's affect strumming and stuff like that though.

Valhall 12-16-2007 11:30 PM

I don't. I use my wrist when trem picking.

//part of problem, yea?

ZapatoDiablo 12-16-2007 11:30 PM

You must have a fast wrist. How long do you usually warm up?

AA-12 12-16-2007 11:30 PM

Yeah, you should change your technique to using your elbow. It's much better anyway.

Valhall 12-16-2007 11:31 PM

Not so much anymore. I used to warm up for 5-10, but these days I usually just launch into whatever I want to play.

Josh: I didn't do that because I heard of people getting tendonitis or something in thier elbows from doing it that way. And my guitar teacher always told me to avoid it.

ZapatoDiablo 12-16-2007 11:33 PM

**** I usually can't really play "fast" until I've been playing for at least 30 mins. I don't know if warming up for a longer period of time will help at all though.

You barely move it at all. Regular rhythm playing has your elbow moving more than well done trem.

Valhall 12-16-2007 11:46 PM

I see.

EDIT: Well, I'm going to bed all. G'nite.

TojesDolan 12-16-2007 11:59 PM

lol tunnel
You barely move it at all. Regular rhythm playing has your elbow moving more than well done trem.
Haha, my one friend always messed up on tremolo picked parts during the last few songs during shows, and that explains it completely.

Riva 12-17-2007 12:15 AM

It's probably just you cutting off your circulation to your lower arm by resting your elbow on your desk/chair/scary magical whatever. It'd be a lot more painful if it was an RSI related injury.

TojesDolan 12-17-2007 12:25 AM

Jason thinks that rocks are the same as humans.
