I read about the initiation for Scientology. Basically, they get you to pay a lot of money for sessions in which they get you to reveal big things that happened in your life, mostly bad, and then push their "religion" on you to help you through it. Then if you try to leave, they will use the same sessions against you, threatening to tell family members and friends. It's insane and is only popular because of the amount of celebrity members.
If you have the time, read this article, about a man who went into the "religion" for 2 weeks undercover. It might be one-sided, I'm not sure, but if it is all legit, I'm quite scared this is still up and running. |
At the State Fair, these people were giving out free stress tests. My friend's gf at the time said we should go try it. Turned out they were scientologists. They asked me about my life and my problems and I tried to say no as politely as possible. I swear, the guy there looked like a child molester. He tried selling me a book for $5. Haha no way. Crap it was creepy.
In my honest opinion, its illegal here for a reason.
Yar, and i dont see why people think its ok to do it in a country where its legal, if they thaught it was ok, they would do it anywhere. if that makes sence. |
In my honest opinion, its illegal here for a reason.
We have weekly binge drinking and public acts of violence. It's not like Britain needs another scapegoat for these things. |

Exactly. That south park episode was supposed to re-air before MI:III came out, and apparently, even though Tom Cruise denies it, he threatened to not promote the film if the episode went back on. Scientology lets famous actors and such in because its good publicity. Its like "If John Travolta is donig it, it cant be that bad". LOL at Justin getting attacked by scientologists. |

I'll rephrase what I said. It's illegal mostly everywhere for a reason. |

LOL at Justin getting attacked by scientologists.
It's the same with Issac Hayes. There's this whole drama about him quitting South Park because of that episode, when really it had nothing to do with that. A representive quit for him while he was recovering from a stroke. Three guesses what religion this representive belonged to... that's right, Scientology. As well as this, Issac said himself this whole thing damaged his relationship with Scientology. |

It's not like Europe, Austrailia, America or anywhere else needs another scapegoat for these things. The amount of bad press drinking gets in the news, along with it's cheap price and lack of concern for underage drinking from off-licenses and cornershops makes me wonder why it's still nationally accepted. As well as the new laws to let pubs stay open 24/7, it's just ridiculous. And when was the last time you heard anything about marijuana in the news? The last time someone "got high" and did something stupid like drive a car into another or jump out a window? It's these headlines that made people aware of weed, but not in the way it should have been. |

Im actually glad that episode aired. It made me, ad im sure a lot of other people, look into how much of a hoax it really is. SECOND CLUE TO SCIENTOLOGY BEING UNBELIEVABLE: Its founder said it was "the solution to practical business". Im gonna go get a shower, then read that article. Thanks Kif. |

Not a chance. He wasn't in it much near the end anyway, and it's not like Matt or Trey to feel sorry for anyone, regardless of the way it was handled. |
hm... what to do what to do
there's not much to do around here today. |

I don't want to argue with you, but the negatives outweigh the positives of it imo. But hey, I'm not your parents, you're older than 16, who am I to tell you what you can and can't do. |

The minute its legalized will would get a lot more storeys about drug abuse, then alcohol. |
the reason of it being illigal will put a lot of people off.
The minute its legalized will would get a lot more storeys about drug abuse, then alcohol.
Of course the media will jump on the legalization of weed like a greyhound, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. There are positive effects to both drinking and smoking weed, and knowing your limits is what makes them somewhat safer. And drinking will never be made illegal, but I think this 24 hour thing is just ridiculous. Anyway I'm off to bed. After I read some Maddox and download Heavens' new CD (Matt Skiba's side project, apparently is awesome!) |
nice one, im looking forward to this.
