You should've asked what color crayon they would be...

"Black... The color of my soul"
I'd like to throw people for a loop on that one. Either I'd give the honest answer (black-crimson), or I'd do something very silly (rotting pumpkin orange).

Lunch 08-05-2005 09:33 PM

Mine is tye-dyed.

Jom 08-05-2005 09:34 PM
This is one of things that makes it tough to be naturally dark like me. "No, I'm not a scenester. I just like the color black, and I think I look good in it besides."

Well, Im not scene at all but I wear all black shirts pretty much, because all of my favorite bands shirts are black.
You guys missed the point, I think. Would I have clarified if I said that all these shirts were those pathetic black shirts from Hot Topic that talk about how voices inside their head direct them to do what they do, or how they see stupid people, or all that? Meh, sorry. Forget I said anything.

Lunch 08-05-2005 09:35 PM

They need one of those that says "My other body isn't ugly".

RCA 08-05-2005 09:36 PM

^T-Shirt Hell has one of those.

Lunch 08-05-2005 09:40 PM

Blast, I thought I was original.

Kingofdudes 08-05-2005 09:42 PM

I have decided to plug Age of Silence whenever possible

NP: The Concept of Haste

lol phayle

Moses 08-05-2005 09:42 PM

I liked the part of Mind of Mencia where he said "it's like an ugly chick that wears a shirt that says 'cutie'."

Point taken.

If I buy a shirt from Hot Topic (yes, they do have some good stuff), I try to avoid the typical array of cliches. My favorite is one with a Mark Twain quote on it.

Lunch 08-05-2005 09:45 PM

Hot Topic is basically the only place around here that has band shirts. Luckily for me, I haven't wanted a band shirt in a long time.

RCA 08-05-2005 09:47 PM

I use the internet for band shirts. I'm more focused on buying patches now though.

magicbus 08-05-2005 09:47 PM

I got my Jim Morrison shirt from Hot Topic, and my Bob Marley one. Everyone else in the world has all the other shirts there, so I don't go there much anymore.

You're obviously not looking very hard. The JC Penney's and Kauffman's around here both have bandshirts.

Moses 08-05-2005 09:53 PM

I got a Tool shirt from Samgoody today. (it was cheaper than Hot Topic)

RiceMonster 08-05-2005 09:53 PM

In the mall near me, theres a band that carries just band shirts, and the cd stores carry them as well. Lucky for me Hot Topic isn't in Canada, or at least not around here.

Sorry, I don't wear AC/DC shirts so I don't go into those stores.

Seriously though, I don't have a Kauffman's, but I've seen a couple shirts at JC Penny's. Mainly AC/DC, Kiss, Rolling Stones, maybe a few Hendrix ones.

Steerpike 08-05-2005 09:56 PM

As I said, Hot Topic does have some good merchandise if you know where to look. I have a couple of T-shirts from there. And I got my brother his fedora there. He wanted one to go with his suit because it makes him look like a very young Al Capone.

Kingofdudes 08-05-2005 09:56 PM

I got 5 pink floyd shirts

/over kill

Clown 08-05-2005 09:57 PM
I got 5 pink floyd shirts

i thought 4 was enough :)

Mekkalayakay 08-05-2005 09:58 PM

I hate wearing band shirts. :( Why? Because they are all black. :upset:

If I were to wear any type of black shirt, it would have to be plain. Have nothing on it.

RiceMonster 08-05-2005 09:58 PM

I have one Pink Floyd shirt, it's the wall.

I got 4 or 5 Hendrix, a Zeppelin, Who, Doors, and 2 Floyd from there. They also have a Yellow Submarine shirt, Hard Days Night, and a Black Sabbath shirt.

Lunch 08-05-2005 09:58 PM

I feel cheesey buying band clothes.

Edit: I guess my JC Penny store just sucks then. And what are you doing with a Who shirt? poser zomg lol

RCA 08-05-2005 09:59 PM

I want a Razor shirt like OMFG so bad.

RiceMonster 08-05-2005 10:00 PM

I want a Darkthrone shirt really bad, but I haven't seen one yet . I'll have to order one I guess.

RCA 08-05-2005 10:01 PM
I want a Darkthrone shirt really bad, but I haven't seen one yet . I'll have to order one I guess.
That would be the way to go. :thumb:

Unfortunately for me, you can't even ORDER a Razor shirt. I contacted their drummer and he might send me one though. :D

Dancin' Man 08-05-2005 10:05 PM

Late but someone called me
I'd like to throw people for a loop on that one. Either I'd give the honest answer (black-crimson), or I'd do something very silly (rotting pumpkin orange).
I always say... "some really ugly piss yellow color that no one likes or will ever use but can't throw away because then the other crayons wouldn't fit right in the box: a spiteful crayon"

RiceMonster 08-05-2005 10:12 PM
That would be the way to go. :thumb:

That's awsome. That's one of the things about smaller bands, they'll actually respond to any e-mails, and such.

Jom 08-05-2005 10:14 PM

It's true, I own two Hot Topic shirts. It's just that I'm a bit biased towards the idiots who flaunt their "Monkeys stole my underwear" shirts and think they're awesome, or have their "I see stupid people" shirts and thinking they're superior. Band shirts, graphic shirts, etc., I don't have a problem with, heh, it's just the personality people have when it comes to wearing the more stupider (not a word, but said for effect) shirts.
