They have been around for a while haven't they? Maybe it's another band your refering to although it's slightly different spelling if that makes anyone feel better.

Ian Mackayes first band was the Teen Idles. Teen Idols are a different band, and have been around for a long time.

Okay, I knew that Ian's first band were the Teen Idles but I thought the Teen Idols were a later band and therefore a bit of a rip off as the names are so similar.

They are not really a rip off just have similar name, happenens to alot of bands.
