juggernaut said "don't you know who i am? i'm the juggernaut bitch!" and that totally made my night

FA 05-27-2006 11:34 PM

I just graduated on the 20th, it was surreal.

Luxor 05-27-2006 11:49 PM

Welcome to the big wide world guys.

br3ad_man 05-28-2006 03:11 AM

I'm nearly half way through the last year of high school. Exams tomorrow though.

Zmev 05-28-2006 05:30 AM

prom is erxgaustiung

br3ad_man 05-28-2006 05:41 AM

People who have had proms/formals, is it worth taking someone? I've been thinking of asking this girl who would probably be pretty fun to go with. At the same time, it seems like a real pain in the arse to take someone and I'm wondering if I should bother.

Depends how at ease you are with her, if you are at all nervous around her, it will be awkward as hell. I took somebody to my prom who I didn't know all that well, we ignored eachother all night....so I got with her friend

If you are going to go. Take someone, and take someone you are going to be comfortable with, because it's pretty awkward of a situation fto take someone you don't know.

The only reason I went to formal was because I had a girlfriend. If I was single, I probably would not have even gone.

Absolutely

BillCosby 05-28-2006 02:37 PM

Has anybody seen The Proposition? Nick Cave wrote the screenplay and did the music. I'm about to go see it.

Glitterati 05-28-2006 05:49 PM

I really want to see it. I read a review of it like a month ago and heard it was excellent, but couldn't find it anywhere, and now it's just being released.

Yep. It's excellent.

BillCosby 05-28-2006 07:48 PM

It was.

The Great Decay 05-28-2006 07:56 PM

What would be a good first album to get into Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds?

Little Man being Erased 05-28-2006 08:11 PM

I think it would be hard to beat Abbatoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus as a first Nick Cave album. It's a double album, but it's not really all that long. It's my favourite of all the ones I've heard.

And speaking of films, I saw X-Men 3 yesterday. It was decent. Pretty entertaining anyway.

BillCosby 05-28-2006 08:20 PM

I've heard it was awesome, and I've heard it was terrible. Now I've heard it's decent.

Little Man being Erased 05-28-2006 08:34 PM

It's worth seeing anyway.

I can't remember if I've seen the second one or not.

For his wilder stuff, check out Let Love In. It's my favorite album by him. If you wanter some more subdued stuff, get The Good Son.

Got some bad news today.

So there's this used CD store in downtown Vancouver I go to all the time to buy CDs. It's really cool, all the CDs are like ten bucks and it's a nice little place.

A while ago, I found out the guy who owns the store had cancer. This was quite a blow to me. This guy was really cool, really nice older guy who played guitar and had a band in the '80s named Idle Eyes. I even have a CD he recorded.

Anyway, I read in the paper today that he passed away, and it kinda made me sad. R.I.P. :upset:

Kurtz 05-28-2006 08:43 PM

Aww, that sucks dude.

I wish I had some small used CD stores near me that were walking distance.

BillCosby 05-28-2006 08:55 PM

That sucks homie.

I have a used record/CD store near me, but the CD selection is pretty slim. They have lots of records though, which makes me wish I had a working record player.

The Great Decay 05-28-2006 09:51 PM

I went to HMV today and was both surprised at how many indie artists they had, and depressed at how expensive all of their albums were.

superpeer 05-28-2006 11:10 PM

There are like 5 used CD stores I know of in my city. They're pretty cool.

ATM 05-28-2006 11:45 PM

This place by me called CD Depot has everything I could ever need.

FA 05-29-2006 12:26 AM

I live in a small town with barely anything, I have to drive 30 minutes to a decent city to get anything worthwhile. It's not really a bother to me though, most everyone is used to it. The city has a few nice used cd shops and whatnots, so it's ok. Too bad the music scene around here is lacking....well for me anyway.

Kurtz 05-29-2006 12:58 AM

I don't have one CD store in my town. Not even a Tower Records.
