Thank you. Our bassist was having a very bad day, and we recorded it in our drummers bedroom so you know...

I think its more pop-punk than punk anyway.

El_Shiznit 03-13-2005 02:09 PM

Only problem is that the bass and drums should be turned down. Otherwise good song. I'd listen to it.

Arucard 03-13-2005 02:43 PM

Wooh. Its very Offspring influenced, and i think it sounds alot of like something of 'Ixnay On The Hombre,' but also quite alot like Black Sails and Art Of Drowning era AFI.

When i write, i aim for a kinda Pop-Punk/Melodic Hardcore type feel.

Thanks for the feedback.

It's a quote from a Rage Against The Machine song.

'Freedom' from their S/T.

Brain Toad 03-13-2005 03:29 PM

I haven't listened to RATM for awhile, I may download some stuff.

El_Shiznit 03-13-2005 03:30 PM

The song kind of stops, then you hear Zach whisper "Anger is a gift". A few more seconds of nothing, then right back into the rock. Great stuff. Love that band.

Forest_Fire 03-13-2005 03:32 PM

I have a take-home math test due tomorrow. :upset:

anyone here taken algebra for college students? I really need help

Brain Toad 03-13-2005 03:33 PM

RATM was amazing, Audioslave sucks balls.

Yeah, I remember now. Aaaaaaaaawesome album.

Isn't it Zack?

El_Shiznit 03-13-2005 03:35 PM

I took the SATs yesterday. Gay.

I'm not even going to a college that looks at it. So I didn't really think too hard on some of them. The hardest part was writing that sentence in cursive. I haven't written in cursive since 5th grade and I forgot what all the letters looked like. It took me well over 10 minutes. I didn't have enough time to finish it the first time, so I had to cut one of the math sections short so that I could have more time to finish the cursive.

I got 4 albums if you are interested.

S/T
Evil Empire
Battle Of Los Angeles
Renegades (Although that one might be skippy. Had it since when it first came out)

It is Zack.

IFlogMyMolly16 03-13-2005 03:37 PM

I took Algebra for middle schoolers. What do you need help with?

Forest_Fire 03-13-2005 03:38 PM

I have to take them sometime this year I think. Why did you have to write in cursive?

El_Shiznit 03-13-2005 03:39 PM
I have to take them sometime this year I think. Why did you have to write in cursive?
You have to write this thing that says "I agree to the terms...." The person who administered the test told me it had to be in cursive, but I'm not sure if that is true.

Same here about the college not looking at them. I'm going to a JC than transferring, so no SATs required, but I may still take them.

Right now it's completing the square, the a +bi form stuff, the discriminant, and some word problems that I don't know what to do on

Let's Chop Cats! 03-13-2005 03:41 PM

I'm taking them in May. We have to write in cursive? I haven't done that since 3rd grade. Wow, lame.

The colleges I'm going depend on SAT's more so than GPA.

Brain Toad 03-13-2005 03:43 PM

I can't evewn write my name in cursive, when I sign my name it's N(scribble) Y(scribble)g

Let's Chop Cats! 03-13-2005 03:50 PM

I just scribble completely, like not even try to write 1 letter.

albert_bass 03-13-2005 03:51 PM
RATM was amazing, Audioslave sucks balls.
I'm agreeing with you today. I ****ing hate that singer.

IFlogMyMolly16 03-13-2005 03:57 PM

I took PSATs last year and the year before. What the hell is all this baout cursive??

El_Shiznit 03-13-2005 03:59 PM

Well I'm not sure if it you are required to write in cursive. I was talking to some friends after I took it, and they said all you had to do was write it in some other form than print. They said they just made their print a little sloppier and it was accepted.

The lady who gave me the test said to do it in cursive though.

Flagjacket 03-13-2005 04:05 PM

I'm not sure if this is the place for this, but this needs to be shared. www.pancakemountain.com

It's a kids show in DC, and if you go to the Rufus part, he argues with Henry Rollins

IFlogMyMolly16 03-13-2005 04:16 PM

Yeah someone introduced me to Pancake Mountain on here, in this thread; forgot who.
'Freedom' from their S/T.
I thought so, but i didnt take you for a RATM man. My fave album is easily 'Evil Empire.' Its probably the most originaly and funky of the three originals albums.

But Freedom has the best bassline ever.

Pointless info:

In 'Know You Enemy,' the voice during the breakdown/bridge is Tool's singer.

What you talkin' bout.

You were the first person to talk to me in R&M in my first post which was in the RATM thread. Plus I've been posting in the most recent one as well.

Biscuit_box 03-13-2005 04:36 PM

I personally prefer their first album apart from "Wake up" It's a good song but the Matrix made it a poser song :upset:

Brain Toad 03-13-2005 04:39 PM
I just scribble completely, like not even try to write 1 letter.
Not like it matters on most things, no one will check.

IFlogMyMolly16 03-13-2005 04:40 PM

Cursive is pointless in the modern world.
