When i do ill be one happy chappy :chug:
Yeah they rock. I saw them twice, once at Ozzfest in like 99 and once in 2002 at the Quest in Minneapolis. Admitably, that was the best concert I've ever been to.

BLS_Infernus 01-18-2006 07:08 PM

I'm not into Machine Head...I saw 'em at Ozzfest in 1999 as well but it wasn't my thing.

top 5 concerts:
Metallica 1998
Black Label Society 2005
Chevelle 2004
Metallica and Godsmack 2004
Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera and Alice in Chains 2000

Electric_Eye 01-18-2006 08:05 PM

There are no good concerts in Hong Kong :(. Stratovarius next week though :). Couldn't afford Dreamtheatre. Nothing else good has come. I went to Linkin Park, paid US100$ for it and it sucked bigtime. I would murder children and hump pigs to go to a Metallica concert or an Iron Maiden concert.

Blank 01-18-2006 08:31 PM

The best concerts i've seen were Black Label Society 05
And System Of A Down 2001

I used to be into Machine Head, they got old. That Megadeth concert would of been awesome. I've always wanted to see Alice In Chains in concert, now it's too late.

BLS_Infernus 01-18-2006 09:11 PM

I can't remember what the tour was called but it was Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera and Alice in Chains all in one tour co-head lining. Amazing preformance

It was either Thrash of the Titans or Clash of the Titans.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-18-2006 09:34 PM

Clash Of The Titans was Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax and Alice In Chains. Pantera weren't on that tour.

Thrash Of The Titans was a benefit show for Testament's Chuck Billy. Testament played (feat. guest appearences from Alex Skolnick and Steve Souza), Exodus played (with Paul Baloff) and Vio-lence, Death Angel and Forbidden re-united for it.

BLS_Infernus 01-18-2006 09:35 PM

I think it was Clash of the Titans. It was a really amazing tour but if you replaced Alice in Chains or just added Metallica that would have been the hotest tour ever. just adding Metallica with Megadeth would have been insane but then you got Pantera, Slayer and then maybe Alice in Chains....I would have payed $300 for that especially if they got to play there normal tour sets and play around with each other.

PepsiMetal 01-18-2006 09:36 PM

What if there is a metallica/megadeth tour. haha, that would be pretty intense for all fans.

Yeah, all the 40 year old Megadeth fans would have a bltchfest with all of the 14 year old Metallica fans. True chaos.

When I saw Metallica, I was amazed at the amounts of old people were there. Long-haired gray haired people. But there was a good amount of young people as well.
Wait I thought that was Thrash Against Cancer?
Nah... I think Thrash Against Cancer was last year, wasn't it?

Thrash Of The Titans was held in 2002.

Yeah TAC was last year. I just hadn't heard of TotT so I assumed you made a mistake.

That's true, cause megadeth has no teenage fans.

There is video footage of Thrash Of The Titans floating around on Soulseek. It really must be seen. I still have some videos of it lying around on the other PC.

Just put Thrash Of The Titans into your wishlist, and eventually you will get some results. It takes a while, but it's worth it.

lol Mums started getting pissed over Megadeth's lyrics in the early day lol

BLS_Infernus 01-18-2006 10:30 PM

I listen to Megadeth but I have no idea what Mustaine is saying half the time

You must not listen to them enough then. :p

It's not that difficult to hear, and Hetfield sings at around the same pitch on the earlier albums.
It's not that difficult to hear, and Hetfield sings at around the same pitch on the earlier albums.
I think he's referring to mustaine's strange pronunciation of some words while singing rather than the equalization or mustaine's pitch

.:Thrasher:. 01-19-2006 08:02 AM

does Mustain put that voice on? i think he does

Sph 01-19-2006 08:32 AM

It's just his singing voice.

Flotsam and Jetsam, Sadus, Heathen, and Legacy also played on TotT. They would've been some great shows.

Daves vocals in 'sweating bullets' make me want to pull a suplex on my sound system :smash:

What's your point?

rip-metal_rules 01-19-2006 02:32 PM

ok, what kind of picks did james use in the early days? cause i know now he uses the .88 tortexs, is that what he used all along?

oh, and i had a really cool idea. metallica and megadeth could tour tour and play together and dave and play each other's stuff and dave and kirk could do the dueling solos on "hangar 18" just think about that. it would rule.

PepsiMetal 01-19-2006 02:36 PM

I'd like to see metallica do symphony of destruction, and megadeth do fade to black. That would be suhweet.

Aw3someman 01-19-2006 02:41 PM

Guys they DID do a tour together back in '93(i think)

BLS_Infernus 01-19-2006 03:02 PM

I think it was 94 but 93 may be right...if I was only not 12 and more into metal at that age I so would have gone

Aussie_rocker 01-19-2006 03:07 PM

Which metallica book would you recomend for me??? i can play most of fade to black solo's and all. i was thinking Ride The Lightning or Greatest Hits...
Help me metallica Fans!

Aw3someman 01-19-2006 03:08 PM

RtL is my favorite book

That would be awsome!

I want to see them cover a whole album

Aw3someman 01-19-2006 03:14 PM

Metallica does Rust in Peace and Megadeth does Master of Puppets?

Jev 01-19-2006 03:21 PM

Could Metallica pull off RIP though?

I doubt it would ever happen though.
