It is possible it isn't even from a guitar amp but an effect added by the Studio

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 02:26 PM
Well as i said, it says in the Master of Pupetts book, 2 guitars arranged for one both with heavy slap back echo.
oh right..hmm im limited on the slap back echo front, limited meaning I have no access to it lol. record it if you can, Ive never heard anyone do it before. Doesnt matter if it sounds stock :)

yeah, thought so. Thats why i said it doesnt matter if it sounds stock, unless he happens to have a studio lol

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 02:28 PM
I might actually suggest that to my band, get that sorted. Killer idea :thumb:
;) well, if you do make it, post it in here :)

MRDuCran 08-23-2005 02:29 PM

I've never tryed it with slap back echobefore, just with my volume turned down sight reading it from the book as i wait for the riffs to kick in.

Jev 08-23-2005 02:29 PM
make one. seriously, if some of you are making a for whom the bell tolls cover, why not take the damage inc intro to a different level, make a song out of it. Like you say, put fade to black intro solo in it. THAT would be awesome, if we actually did this...improvise people
I'd do that but i'm busy writing my own songs. Bassist on holiday=me making songs without interruption.

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 02:32 PM
I'd do that but i'm busy writing my own songs. Bassist on holiday=me making songs without interruption.
I have an effect like that on my korg multi-effect. But i cant remember its name.

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 02:40 PM

I think its actually called Fade In, its got it on Guitar Pro hasnt it

MRDuCran 08-23-2005 02:42 PM

I have it on my Korg Pandora 4 and its called something stupid.

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 02:47 PM

Ive looked on the net, cant find anything

magicfingers 08-23-2005 02:48 PM

Could it be something like volume swell or something of that sort? Just a guess...

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 02:49 PM
Could it be something like volume swell or something of that sort? Just a guess...
yeah i think its that. Makes sense. I aint experienced in the pedal department..

MRDuCran 08-23-2005 02:51 PM

i have a volume pedal :D

Jev 08-23-2005 02:51 PM

I've got an effect like it on my Zoom pedal and it's a violin sound. With distortion it sounds quite like the inc. intro.

Jev 08-23-2005 02:54 PM

A-ha. Echo Violin with sound delay.

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 02:57 PM
A-ha. Echo Violin with sound delay.
metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 02:59 PM

Flower dance, could you record it please? :p

Jev 08-23-2005 03:11 PM

can I just ask, how did you break it exactly? near the jack part?

Jev 08-23-2005 03:26 PM

I'm always breaking leads at the jack area yes.

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 03:29 PM
I'm always breaking leads at the jack area yes.
happens to me when i sit down with my guitar. Thats why I tend to stand up nowadys, and I can also work on my metal-stance

Speaking of metal-stance, do you not think hetfield has te coolest stance and best stage presence ever.

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 03:32 PM
Speaking of metal-stance, do you not think hetfield has te coolest stance and best stage presence ever.
yeah, I dunno, I think its something to do with the shape of his Explorer. Seriously, when he stands with his legs quite far apart with that guitar, it looks excellent

Jev 08-23-2005 03:37 PM

I don't really have a metal stance, i'm pretty static. I guess it's a habit i should break.

metalhead_matt 08-23-2005 03:40 PM

do you have you guitar strung low? or like above waist? I have mine low, I think it induces a metal stance automatically

Father_Jack 08-23-2005 03:42 PM
do you have you guitar strung low? or like above waist? I have mine low, I think it induces a metal stance automatically
I have mine just around the belt line. Its pretty comfortable but not great for playing fast.
