Ahh...such are the woes of an 8 year old twat.

Anyways, I sort of want to get my family nickname tattooed in Celtic lettering on my ankle...But isn't it redundant to have your name on your own body?

Drum Phil 02-03-2006 03:36 PM
Aww man, that sucks.

like I said, I'll prayin for him.
Thanks man.

In other news, im going to see Less Than Jake :D

RushHourSoul 02-03-2006 03:54 PM

I enjoyed hello Rockview back in the day, still have it around somewhere..

Their newer stuff is awful though.

Drum Phil 02-03-2006 03:56 PM

The new albums apparently mint.

RushHourSoul 02-03-2006 04:00 PM

well that song 'shes gonna break soon' and 'science of selling yourself short' where crap, put me off listening to anything else they had to offer.

A good band to check out - Groove Armada, their album Vertigo is mind blowing if you need to chill out.

Drum Phil 02-03-2006 04:02 PM

I liked Science of selling yourself.

Talos 02-03-2006 04:03 PM

My Dad likes Groove Armada, I tell him he should listen to Dimmu Borgir, Slayer, Metallica or Megadeth. Then he mocks me for liking Death Metal :(

The Ska Man 02-03-2006 04:07 PM

I would too.

Drum Phil 02-03-2006 04:07 PM

hahahahahahaha you like death metal lmao

Talos 02-03-2006 04:08 PM
I would too.
Yeah but you like Punk. Punk is dead mate, sorry, but it is :(

RushHourSoul 02-03-2006 04:09 PM
My Dad likes Groove Armada, I tell him he should listen to Dimmu Borgir, Slayer, Metallica or Megadeth. Then he mocks me for liking Death Metal :(
Your dad knows where its at. anway.. death metal *shudders*

Talos 02-03-2006 04:10 PM
Your dad knows where its at.
Well, some of his musicis good like The Ramones, The Clash and The Sex Pistols.

But some I dont like, i.e. Joy Division

Drum Phil 02-03-2006 04:12 PM
Yeah but you like Punk. Punk is dead mate, sorry, but it is :(
No its not. Its underground.

Der Meister 02-03-2006 04:12 PM

then you suck

Talos 02-03-2006 04:14 PM

I think theyre too slow, I like quite fast music

DuckinFutch8 02-03-2006 04:15 PM

ska wins.

RushHourSoul 02-03-2006 04:17 PM

I hate it when people say that.. no offence. I don't see how you can only like fast music.. is it because its more energetic. Suppose its better than this kid at my college, he doesn't listen to ANY music at all, none, doesnt even own a cd player. He says it all sounds the same and nothing is interesting, I couldnt believe my ears, I couldn't live without music.

Talos 02-03-2006 04:19 PM
I hate it when people say that.. no offence. I don't see how you can only like fast music
Probably the same reason why I cant listen to a song for more than 10 minutes unless its really good.

Me and my band do songs that are 3 minutes long, this is the ideal length. Im more of a metal head so I like fast hard, heavy songs by Pantera etc.

The Ska Man 02-03-2006 04:20 PM
Yeah but you like Punk. Punk is dead mate, sorry, but it is :(
That sure is a nice perspective.

:p

Drum Phil 02-03-2006 04:20 PM

If punks dead, you can join it

The Ska Man 02-03-2006 04:21 PM
ska wins.
Yes!

Mwuahahahahahahah, Mwuahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

RushHourSoul 02-03-2006 04:21 PM

I never see whats so appealing about metal. Loud and Fast is all I take in, however I suppose thats *a bit* biased since I like jazz/reggae/anything chillouty. Theres some kids at my college who bum it, can't play for **** and wear all the heavy metal clothes etc, its like they're stuck in the 80s.

Talos 02-03-2006 04:22 PM

I have never really heard any Ska, ive listened to Reel Big Fish but I didnt like them

Any Ska recommendations?

DuckinFutch8 02-03-2006 04:23 PM

There's so many different types of Ska, it's insane to just recommend one, they all sound different...

However, you said you like fast music, so I'd check out Streetlight Manifesto, great band.

Drum Phil 02-03-2006 04:24 PM

Streetlight manifesto
Less than jakes old stuff
Operation ivy
Voodoo glowskulls

ludvista29 02-03-2006 04:24 PM

Classic Rock owns all genres :thumb:

RushHourSoul 02-03-2006 04:25 PM

get some Prince Buster on the case.. Then try The Specials, maybe a bit of Madness.

Personally ive always thought reggae > ska

Although I do love ska. I have a trojan ska revival box set with lots of live tracks by the specials, bad manners, the selector etc

Talos 02-03-2006 04:26 PM
Classic Rock owns all genres :thumb:
Meh, most classic rock was considered Heavy Metal. For example Led Zeppelin, theyre classed as Heavy Metal or Classic Rock

I love Kill 'Em All by Metallica, by far their best album of all time.

Der Meister 02-03-2006 04:26 PM
I think theyre too slow, I like quite fast music
Let me guess, you've only heard 'Love will tear us apart' haven't you?

Talos 02-03-2006 04:28 PM

I like some Reggae. My Uncle used to play me some, hes a DJ so he has loads of different CDs, he first played me some King Courtney, that got me into Reggae. However, ive never really got back into it since 2000
