got tool? 04-19-2006 07:02 PM
Haha.. I just noticed that on my version of the leak, on Right In Two, at 6:01.. There's a soundclip going "TIMMY!"..
Whoa, i just checked that out. Odd.

Shadius 04-19-2006 07:03 PM
Seems like a bit of a stretch.
The last part maybe, but if those numbers are true, the fact that Maynards Mother was partially paralysed for 27 years; or 10,000 Days, is quite interesting, don't you think?

Yeha definitly. I already knew that bit though.

Holy shit!

I almost didn't believe you, but I heard it and it freaked me out. lol

Can't wait for the real album now that I know this may be a slightly tampered, and possibly even not fully mastered version? *gasp*

denboy 04-19-2006 07:07 PM

You gotta admit that it's pretty damned funny.. haha. Gotta love South Park

Shattered_Future 04-19-2006 07:14 PM

Wow, it actually DOES say "Timmah!!"

Whatever works. :p

This album is shaping up to be quite good...still not as good as Lateralus in my eyes, but a close second.

:lol::lol::lol:

I have that too.
Haha.

UpperDecker 04-19-2006 07:23 PM

In one of the new songs (i think Intension) if you play it backwards Maynard says something along the lines of "listen to your mother, your father is right". Its towards the beginning of the song or the end if you reverse it.

deadohiosky9 04-19-2006 07:27 PM
I read that as well before the it required me to register, how the heck did everyone else register? I can't seem to use any email to register for those forums.
Luckily I had an account from 2004, when I tried to get a new name it wouldn't accept any of my email addresses either. I assumed they had closed registration, but I keep seeing new members...so who knows.

In reply to the backward message thing, someone from Toolnavy uploaded that part of the song in reverse so everyone could hear it: http://www.myspace.com/zeitgeistfm

Also I don't see how there's any sort of doubt that 10,000 Days is about Maynard's mother. Its unbelivable obvious once you listen and hear the lyrics. He also says something like "pillar of faith ascends" and "pillar of faith" was written on his mom's gravestone. It's just very clear who he is addressing in Wings for Marie and 10,000 Days, I don't see much room for doubt.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-19-2006 08:30 PM

Yeah, and Wings for Marie isn't about his mom.

If you think it's a long stretch, the album name being about his mom's paralysis, then I'd like to hear your more sensical theory. :p

Anyways, I still haven't listened to the whole album. (a)

deadohiosky9 04-19-2006 09:01 PM

I was saying that I don't think its a stretch...I was saying that it makes perfect sense.

Spiritofmosa 04-19-2006 09:08 PM

i thought this album would be more political.. vicarious talks about people dying in war or something right

Daven 04-19-2006 09:10 PM

Dammit, this cd is incredibly good. At least so far, it hasnt yet get to where Lateralus is for me, but it might get there.

Det_Nosnip 04-19-2006 09:17 PM

I just keep remembering what Lateralus was like when I first got it. I remember thinking "what the hell....?" and I compared it to Aenima alot, insisting that that was still the best.

Eventually, Lateralus became my favorite Tool album. Maybe the same will happen here...*shrug* we'll see.

Daven 04-19-2006 09:20 PM

That didnt happen with me. I listened to Lateralus and i knew it was my favorite album right away, but i didnt like all the songs in it. Now i like almost every song in it, the only on i skip its Faiip De Oiad and Mantra. Hopefully the new one will reach or top Lateralus.

Futuro 04-19-2006 09:21 PM

Damn the Pot has some catchy vocal parts.

"SO WATCHU TALKING BOUT?"

Haha I love it.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-19-2006 09:21 PM

I remember the first time I listened to Lateralus.

You know how sometimes you look back on things and you realize how life changing their were.

Well I knew it was life changing at the time.

I'm feeling it all over. It's great.

Yep.

What's up with your computer and AIM? :p

deadohiosky9 04-19-2006 09:30 PM

Moses, did you read about the possible relation between the piano man and lost keys or has that always been your usertitle or whatever they call it?

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-19-2006 09:32 PM

So who likes the southern-ish drawl Maynard is incorporating in songs like The Pot and Rosetta Stoned. Interesting.

Kage 04-19-2006 09:34 PM
Moses, did you read about the possible relation between the piano man and lost keys or has that always been your usertitle or whatever they call it?
Nah, he's just a pompous bastard. ;)

Seriously, it's quite the monumental idea to bring comparisons to yourself and Billy Joel.

deadohiosky9 04-19-2006 09:36 PM

Hahahaha

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-19-2006 09:36 PM

Yet no one says anything about my user title being about Chino Moreno's wife.

:rolleyes:/:lol:

Kage 04-19-2006 09:37 PM

Hmm, I'm not sure I ever took it that way. It's cool though, it's an awesome song name.

Moses 04-19-2006 09:37 PM

No, I'm just a pompous bastard as Kage pointed out.

Oh, and I have no idea what is wrong with my AIM. It's like it time's out.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-19-2006 09:41 PM
Hmm, I'm not sure I ever took it that way. It's cool though, it's an awesome song name.
It is. People made fun of me when I set it as my Myspace user name. :(

Now it's "Jake says: Half Vampire, Half warrior."

:-D
