It's like it's pronounced (westernized anyhow).

twardzik

hismajestythepope 03-31-2009 02:29 AM

I mean, it's a very Polish name, but it's pretty damn simple to spell tbh.

Aaron 03-31-2009 02:32 AM

I see. I thought it was Twizdaik, which is retarded.

hismajestythepope 03-31-2009 02:40 AM

Awesome.

And yeah, this ex-This Runs Through band is really disappointing generic post hardcore.
Rosesdead is a an inferior Misery Signals clone.

They're album isn't bad, but I've been listening to Of Malice... for years and it still gives me goosebumps.
no

also you wrote "They're album isn't bad", you are out of this competition

you are a shame to your screen name
they're decent, one of my "guilty pleasures" in that they're pretty standard
no

they're in no way standard

In Shoals > Transmetropolitan.

except for the vocals

and in regards to BtS,
the vocals on the new Bridge to Solace CD sound pretty strained aka bad
I have to listen to the new one more before I say one way or the other, but I really enjoyed Transmetropolitan.

SlightlyEpic 03-31-2009 10:22 AM

I was disappointed by the lack of a machinegun breakdown in the new WFAHM album.

Xplisit 03-31-2009 10:25 AM

not the first person to say that

Hehe, I think we've actually this discussion a long time ago.

Stages is an inferior version of early Misery Signals. I'm not familiar with Rosesdead before that, but Stages came out in 2006 compared to Of Malice... in 2004. I'm not saying they made a conscious effort to copy them, just that they fill the same niche and fail to out due their peer(s). They're kinda like a mix between Fordirelifesake and Misery Signals, but without the best parts of either. It's good, but it's not particularly memorable and it doesn't have a lot of staying power.

I wouldn't really object to "Best metalcoar album of the year" or something but "Best metalcoar band of all time" is a stretch.

New BTS is a little shallow. It doesn't show the development that they showed between their first album and second album. It's almost like an album of B-sides from their second album. It's good, but I've heard it before.

<3 fordirelifesake
finally glad someone name dropped them, i can't be the only one

BridgeToSolace 03-31-2009 12:05 PM

Wtf, they broke up without releasing a new album? I was waiting for something new from them for years...

HighandDriving 03-31-2009 02:14 PM

I remember I asked Brian Southall at a BNO release party awhile back why he left fordirelifesake, he seemed pissed and didn't respond at all.

But he did sign my album :)

this is all so wrong so wrong so wrong

i had "of the malice" forever and never listened to it aftert the first few times

heard "stages" once, and fell hard and fast

kept listening to it

kept listening to it

kept listening to it some more

going on 3 years and its easily my most listened to album

me and a bunch of my friends still, to this day, agree that it is one of the best albums ever written and recorded

whenever i put it on, i feel sad if i can't listen to it all the way through

whenever i want to listen to something good, "stages" springs to mind as one of my first choices

if i wanted to show anyone whats so good about "the kind of music where they scream and play loud eewww" i would show that person "stages"

if i could choose one album to go with me to a deserted island, it would be that one

seriously, this is how good i think it is.

and i will kill you for not liking it

... >_>

nah, but i just seriously don't get why not everyone everywhere always loves this to death like i do

havent listened enough, the instrumental is really fun, but all in all it wasn't as surprisingly good as "kindgdom" was after "of bitterness", or "where nighmares" was after "kingdom". i think it has potential to grow though, but it seems like theyve peaked
