the weird thing is that now that i'm 21 i hardly ever get asked for my ID. i didn't get ID'd much when I was underage either though. I always bought beer from the shell station up the street, this indian guy worked there and he always let me buy beer. i was just always nice to him and got to know him on a first name basis and i guess so few people actually treated him with respect that he appreciated it and didn't mind helping me out. being nice to people usually works well as far as getting what you want goes.

Plus you live in the south, people are way less strict about it there, in Seattle I always see my friends get carded, even my 26 year old friend who has a full beard and looks his age gets carded at restaurants and stuff.

I get carded when I'm not bearded.

but then again I don't live in a country where you can go to war before you can legally drink

the south is way, way harder on drug laws though. i got arrested for possession of marijuana last year and it was hell. in all honesty i was lucky to just get possession of mairjuana and resisting arrest because i was waiting to get some heroin and the cops just showed up before i got it. i still could have gotten more charges cause i had:

a quarter
a bowl
a one hitter (that i had been smoking crack out of)
a syringe
and a spoon

that was a REALLY close call

Yeah weed laws are super relaxed here, people smoke in public on certain occasions (like in the parks on New Years, Hempfest, music festivals ect) and nobody gets in trouble, there were only like 40 legal cases related to Marijuana in Seattle last year so as long as you aren't like an obvious dealer or something you never get in trouble.
