Well it's almost midnight here. I would sneak out and go to her house but it's too late and her parents will be pissed as hell. I wish I could talk to her in person.. This blows. She's one of my best friends.. :upset:
That sucks dude. Just console her tomorrow at school. And be a close friend, she'll need that.

That works to your advantage. Take her out to a movie or mini-golfing or something. Think of things you'd do on a date, except it's not romantic. Just to get her mind off things.

Oh yeah, the stomach problems I was having...
I went to the doctor yesterday, and he told me one of the last things anyone wants to hear (almost his exact words):
"I reallly don't know... it's a mystery to me".

... thanks...
He said maybe Acid Reflux or maybe Ulcers... wonderful

Thanks for all the help/consolation Vince :). I'm going to bed now though. Night all.
I'd never have thought it possible, but everything sucks AND blows at the moment. Once again, shot down by a lady... I'm so bloody sick of this. As usual, it's because I'm 'too good a friend', although her mate said it's also because she doesn't want to risk hurting me because I'm too nice.

So clearly, I either need to start being an asshole to women, or just stop getting involved with them at all.

I think the latter seems quite appealing.... Yes, ladies, my 'nice' personality, Wayne Rooney-esque looks and the impressive length that resides in my pants are NOT FOR ANY OF YOU ANYMORE.

God, that felt good.
Punch a woman in the head, then call me in the morning.

Haha, so I guess you're seeing one of them Christian doctors? Where god in his almighty power will fix your problems mysteriously?

Seriously though, if you have ulcers or something like that you ought to be on meds ASAP. It'll only get worse.

Actually, yesterday was the first time I've ever been to him before... So I don't know if he's religious or anything. And Ulcers is just an idea... test results don't come back for another two days.

Permanent Solution 08-30-2005 10:19 PM

*sigh* T'was a joke. Anyways though, hope the tests show nothing's wrong with you then.

God, I can't wait for the new BTBAM album.

Permanent Solution 08-30-2005 11:19 PM

BTBAM is overrated.

Mute Print 08-30-2005 11:20 PM

I already have the new one. I haven't really listened to it yet.

cbmartinez 08-30-2005 11:20 PM

They're good, just hard to listen to sometimes.

Permanent Solution 08-30-2005 11:24 PM

Enlighten me as to why good music should be hard to listen to Chris.

cbmartinez 08-30-2005 11:25 PM

It's heavy, spazzy. It's hard to listen to that stuff for an extended period of time.

Permanent Solution 08-30-2005 11:28 PM

Eh I guess. I just prefer music I enjoy listening to, rather than want to turn off.

cbmartinez 08-30-2005 11:30 PM
Man, Thursday is fucking incredible.
I agree, I've been listening to them a lot lately.

cbmartinez 08-30-2005 11:35 PM

Yeah, I was listening to "Signals" and "For The Workforce, Drowning" and as much as criticize this album, it's so amazing. Like I realized, how perfect it is for the time period it came out during, post 9/11. Like it represents what everyone was feeling, it can be really dark. "War All The Time" fails though.

Permanent Solution 08-30-2005 11:38 PM

Old hardcore is terribly overrated.

Thursday is quite good, if I can find their other album sometime I think I'll pick it up, though I've heard it is not as good as the other two.

Mute Print 08-30-2005 11:38 PM

I've been listening to the Five Stories Falling EP a lot. I love "Standing on the Edge of Summer", because it's so deep, and (unfortunately) I can related to it. It really powerful if you've lost someone you love.

Edit - I like some old hardcore, but I'm not terribly impressed with it. Bands like the Gorilla Biscuits are pretty good.

cbmartinez 08-30-2005 11:57 PM

Yeah "Standing.." is mad emo live.

I like Dead Kennedys actually. Black Flag, Gorilla Biscuits, Minor Threat...all sound the same and not too interesting.

Is it the vocals? Those really bothered me at first but now I actually like how they fit into the music.

Not entirely, the whole music strikes me as obnoxious. Not good obnoxious, either. Bad obnoxious. Grating on my eardrums, like when feedback goes out of control.

Heh, but I love feedback :(

I think the instrumentation was what really got me into them at first, stuff like Holiday in Cambodia and California Uber-Alles...I just really loved it, it was real catchy. But no one likes the same music so meh. I know tons of other bands grate on me in a bad obnoxious way (see: Underminded), so it's cool.

Admittedly I've only heard Damaged, but, metal guitar>>>>old hardcore guitar.

Excursions 08-31-2005 01:30 AM

Im going out on a limb and I say the drummer from Neon Christ could if he wanted to play as fast and play better than any metal drummer.

Him Greg Ginn and Mike Watt are better musicians than any member of a metal band at their respective instruments.

Permanent Solution 08-31-2005 01:33 AM

Well I'm going to bed, but my challenge for you is to say that in each of the respective instrument forums and see the response. I'm willing to bet you lose this bet by a lot. The drummer for Messhugah, for instance plays as accurately and quickly as a drum machine.

Angry Balled Fists! 08-31-2005 03:01 AM

Morning all.
