I understand where TO is coming from---he DID sacrifice his career to play in the Super Bowl and turned in the performance of his life.
However: 1) You can't do that one year into a seven-year contract that you willingly signed 2) Curt Schilling did the same thing, and he didn't hold out |
The most overrated player in the NFL is Peyton Manning. Super Bowls are not won in October, ladies and gents.
I actually quite liked Peyton Manning but he didn't give enough at the end. He's has some really spectacular moments. |

Plus, he can be a bit of a dick. I remember one game where he screamed at Reggie Wayne for dropping a pass, then threw an INT on the next play and stormed off the field like an infant. |
I actually quite liked Peyton Manning but he didn't give enough at the end. He's has some really spectacular moments.
I agree, Peyton is great. |
Yeah, alot of athletes lack sportsmanship these days.

I agree with him asking for money, but as soon as he said "I need to support my family", thats when I realized he was being an idiot, and now I think that he should just shut his mouth.
I'd take Brady over him.
Thats because u live in Boston.
The most overrated player in the NFL is Peyton Manning. Super Bowls are not won in October, ladies and gents.
Peytons stats were a rating of 121, 49/10 TD/INT ratio, 4557 yards, and a 67% completion percentage. Its hard to be overrated when you have arguably the best season for a quarterback ever. |
I'd take Brady over him too. Manning comes close though.

Brady's alright. Peyton's better, in my opinion. |

I'm surprised Brady isn't being raved about all the time. I mean this guy has all these great stats and he's still young.

Its not about the stats with Brady anyway, its that hes a winner. Plus Peyton is only 1 year older. |
I just think he goes a little unnoticed by the media. Did you notice how McNabb got all the hype during the Super Bowl?

Yeah but after they won the Media was all over his nuts.(brady) |
Took a while.

It's because McNabb was the first black QB to start a Super Bowl, the Eagles had finally gotten over the hump after three years of losing in the NFC Championship, and the entire city of Philadelphia had made a pilgriamage to Jacksonville for the game.
With Brady, it's like, "Been there, done that".
I'm surprised Brady isn't being raved about all the time. I mean this guy has all these great stats and he's still young.
It's because he plays on the Patriots, where the buzz around the team is "They're versatile and selfless!" and "Belichick, Crennel, and Weis are geniuses!" rather then around a player (as it has been with the Colts with Manning, the Falcons with Mike Vick, the Eagles with McNabb and TO, the Vikings and now the Raiders with Moss, and so on). It's been said that it's not a superstar team. |
Can't wait till the fucking season starts.
|
Ray, how do you think that Pats will do this year. Im saying 11-5, wild card behind the Jets, and lose in the second round of the playoffs to either the Colts or the Steelers, who I think will earn byes.
Can't wait till the fucking season starts.
Tomarrow! |
Me neither. Three in a row sounds nice, and it would finally cement Belichick and Brady's places among the best ever.

College football >>>>>>>> NFL

The Pats will go 12-4 or 13-3 this year, I'd imagine.
My predictions: AFC East: 1. Pats 2. Jets 3. Dolphins 4. Bills AFC North: 1. Ravens 2. Steelers 3. Bengals 4. Browns AFC South 1. Colts 2. Texans 3. Jaguars 4. Titans AFC West 1. Chargers 2. Chiefs 3. Broncos 4. Raiders HFA: Pats Byes: Pats, Colts Wild Cards: Texans, Chiefs AFC Championship: Pats over Colts NFC East: 1. Eagles 2. Giants 3. Cowboys 4. Redskins NFC North: 1. Vikings 2. Bears 3. Lions 4. Packers NFC South: 1. Falcons 2. Panthers 3. Saints 4. Bucs NFC West: 1. Cards 2. Rams 3. Seahawks 4. Niners HFA: Eagles First-round byes: Eagles, Falcons Wild Cards: Panthers, Rams NFC Championship: Panthers over Eagles (again!) Super Bowl XL? I'm bad with Roman numerals: Pats over Panthers (in a highly enjoyable rematch of Super Bowl XXXVIII) |
Bump, because I need a mod. Is there any supers in here? Or any that have Pit privleges?
|
There's only Numbers modding R&M right now, and I don't think he's around right now.
|
Dammit. He's not online either.
I wish I had some power, because I need to edit my Dictionary Thread. =( On a different note, I should post here again. |
Yeah, we've kind of run out of mods at the present time which is why we're sort of asking for new one. Couldn't you ask Jim?
And yeah, it's nice to see someone I recognise in here. You've been missed :) |
who dont you recognize?
|
Holy fook Ramsey, nice Behemoth avatar.
|
who dont you recognize?
 What he is on about is the fact that everyone who posted in this thread a month ago don't anymore and their places have been taken by nubs who no one knows :) |
