Steve Digorgio's bass ftw.

LifeInABox 08-04-2007 07:58 PM

Yep. He's fantastic, his tone just needs alittttttttle bit of tweaking.

TojesDolan 08-04-2007 08:00 PM

I'm digging Gorguts, but then again my music taste is unvaried and lacking.

LifeInABox 08-04-2007 08:38 PM

4.5 or 90% on Severed Survival for me.

Bazarov 08-04-2007 08:47 PM

Gasping for Air has the best vocal performance on that album.

Shred Danson 08-04-2007 08:51 PM
Yep. He's fantastic, his tone just needs alittttttttle bit of tweaking.
DiGorgio's tone's always needed a bit of tweaking :p

LifeInABox 08-04-2007 08:53 PM
Gasping for Air has the best vocal performance on that album.
But the best track is either Disembowel which also has quite good vocals, or Critical Madness. Otherwise, qft.

Nostalgia 08-04-2007 08:56 PM

Gasping for Air's intro vocals are ****ing INSANE.

If it's old Gorguts then you're fine. But if it's Obscura then your taste blows.

VomitStainedCretin 08-05-2007 04:53 AM
If it's old Gorguts then you're fine. But if it's Obscura then your taste blows.
What is the opinion on their final album, From Wisdom to Hate?

Stoic 08-05-2007 05:54 AM

It's in the Obscura vein but I can't tolerate the production :\

Dargon 08-05-2007 07:02 AM
Yeah, that was blatant spam, boy. :-/

I got a Cephalic Carnage Demo I'll unpack and listen in a little while. I expect it to be elite.
I thought even you would have been able to figure out by now that Syphilis Kabbage is headspinning wiggercore.

Any Gorguts after Erosion of Sanity is garbage.

Hpb, stop talking like some experienced death metal critic. It was hilarious at first, but 10 pages later it's pretty tedious.

Stoic 08-05-2007 07:05 AM

^Hey Dargon, you have an e-mail from me :)
/off to study...

Angmar 08-05-2007 12:05 PM

I don't like Obscura at all, I agree with Coke in that it sounds like someone recorded a good album then threw it in a blender.

No, they're damn good Orlando. Don't get down on you.

Eliminator 08-05-2007 02:56 PM

listening to nocturnus..

kind of lame
listening to nocturnus..

If it's not The Key, Thresholds, or the demos it could be lame. Those three are godly.

Nope, I got Erosion of Insanity. It's interesting in the beginning but I feel it's slightly repetitive after a while, but it's a nice observation anyways.

And yeah everyone else who asked, like Pate and that it's Erosion of Insanity. Yes.

Dimmu Burger 08-05-2007 04:25 PM

I picked up the new Man Must Die album "The Human Condition". Its decent. Any fans?

the key

i havent listened to the whole thing yet. it just seems too busy for its own good

pate 08-05-2007 06:43 PM

The Key is too good for you.

lol @ "erosion of insanity" being said not once, but twice

Eliminator: **** off, delete that album immediately, you obviously are not worthy. Go entertain yourself with your mindless nigraz bragging about how much money they have.

Mekkalayakay 08-05-2007 07:12 PM

I like Obscura and From Wisdom to Hate.

Dargon 08-05-2007 07:38 PM
I like Obscura and From Wisdom to Hate.
why am I not surprised

Mekkalayakay 08-05-2007 07:42 PM

It isn't on my to-do list to change my taste in order to fit your standards, sorry my boi.

Dargon 08-05-2007 07:43 PM

95% of the album sounds like they took two guitars, a bass, and a drum kit, threw them in a shipping container, put the container on a train, and put the train over a cliff.

the other 5% sounds like ****ing boogie rock with all the twangy bass. bow-chicka. total nappy-headed louisiana swamp negro vibe.

Mekkalayakay 08-05-2007 07:49 PM

I suppose I like the sound of that.

being a nigra, i am too lazy to do such a thing.

NemesisDivina 08-05-2007 08:30 PM

i can't go see Immolation and Suffocation on my birthday because it's on a school night :upset:

LifeInABox 08-05-2007 08:31 PM

Skip the next day. Or, get your twin brother that noone knows about to take your place then pay him back with gummy worms.

NemesisDivina 08-05-2007 08:32 PM

gummy worms, eh? my mom would never go to that concert though. cause she knows that i'd be "sick" the next day. it sucks cause that would be an amazing show (appart from skinless)

I havn't heard alot from Skinless, but I doubt I would like them.

Shred Danson 08-05-2007 08:48 PM

Skinless is pretty "jumpdafukkish" (:p). At least From Sacrifice to Survival was. But not too bad. I haven't heard anything else by them.

Angmar 08-05-2007 08:48 PM

I hate it when concerts are on school nights, my parents usually let me go though :p

LifeInABox 08-05-2007 08:49 PM

Same hurr. I just need to be alive the next morning.

NemesisDivina 08-05-2007 08:50 PM

yeah, but i've pulled that shiit with my parents way too much. they're on to me.
