Why can't I write like happy shit? Like, every song I've ever written was either like depressing relationship crap or end of the world disaster crap. Which isn't exactly depressing, but lets just say the majority of my writing focuses on the negative.
I wrote a song about "lemon drops and candy floss" and "lemonade river and a chocolate stream" before. It's awesome.

Screw happy songs, my suite mate at school writes nothing but happy **** that sounds like John Mayer and it drives me ****in insane. Dark songs are the coolest ones.

Downloaded Bruno, and downloading Zombie Land and Pirate Radio. Just watching like the first ten minutes before I go to sleep. This may actually be good past the tons of penis which it apparently contains.

Crapdragoon 11-24-2009 02:54 AM

i just downloaded torchlight, heard it was fun so i am gonna give it a try.

i thought zombieland was pretty good. previews made it look like some stupid kid movie, but its not.

Left Face Down 11-24-2009 04:18 PM

So I'm just like skimming through Bruno, I couldn't watch it straight through. I mean, some of these scenes crack me up and then others make me want to shoot myself. Though this big breasted Pam Anderson wanna be dom trying to rape Bruno is cracking me up.

Aes820 11-24-2009 04:55 PM

That last bit during the cage fight is just brilliant.

mnemonic 11-24-2009 06:05 PM

i thought ali g was great, but i thought borat was retarded, so i didn't even bother to see bruno, cos it seemed like it was going to be pretty much the same thing.

Blue_Moon 11-24-2009 06:11 PM

mnemonic 11-24-2009 06:25 PM

Left Face Down 11-24-2009 07:59 PM

I'm so odd, but we already know that. Bell-ringers outside Wal-mart with their Christmas hats on saying, "have a merry Thanksgiving." I kind of find it oddly funny, but what was better is when some one said "thank you" in a rather strong Canadian accent. I mean, they probably think we are all stupid, but they have to remember we think they are all stupid.

... sad fact of the matter is it was a rather hot girl (with a second hot girl).

Blue_Moon 11-24-2009 08:00 PM

hot girl(s)

Left Face Down 11-24-2009 08:47 PM

Zombieland is a good movie, sadly Pirate Radio was a scam... friggin 700 Mb download and it is like you must download our movie player to watch our video. Bastards... wasting my time. Though tomorrow I'm going home for Thanksgiving, can we say Cable internet not shared over the spectrum of an apartment complex?

Ok, tech. my apartment complex has a T1 line spread over it, but you get the point.

Evening lod. My guitar is usually tuned pretty low, B and C# most of the time, so I use 12 gauge strings. I've always noticed that when I tune that low octaves sound weird and going to or from notes on the G string just sounds off even though the guitar is in tune. So I want to try using a wound G string to see if that sounds better. If I'm using a 12 gauge set what gauge should the wound string I use for the G be?

Left Face Down 11-24-2009 09:32 PM

Where the **** are you getting 12 guage sets with out a wound G string? Though to answer your question it'd probably be like a 24 or 25... on my acoustics I have 11s with a wound 22 G-string.

I just use regular old Ernie Ball 12 gauges, mostly 'cause that's the only brand my local shop keeps stocked with gauges that high.

mnemonic 11-24-2009 10:31 PM

try to get one of the same or similar gauge to the unwound G that you're using now, i'd think.

check out this string gauge calculator

http://www.bangzero.org/stringtension/

change the size of the string and then press calculate and it calculates how many pounds of tension are on each string. the goal is to get fairly even tension from string to string.

Modern Iconoclast 11-25-2009 01:56 AM

Sweet, looks like I can just use the wound D string from a set of 9s. Thanks fellas.

What would be a good file sharing program for between me and a few buddies, to pass music back and forth. I looked into ftp but that looks slow and shiesty
