why are macs better than pcs ben

gaslight 05-18-2009 11:38 AM

I'll never buy an iPod. I despise them.
why are macs better than pcs ben
They're not. :) I use a PC regularly, as well. When I bought my MacBook, it was the smallest laptop with the longest battery life that I could find, and I had been using my friend's for a bit, and figured I'd give it a go.

I really don't think it's any better than a PC, but I do enjoy using it a lot.

so you just dont like your extra thousand dollars you'd just rather throw it away, burn it, etc?
so you just dont like your extra thousand dollars you'd just rather throw it away, burn it, etc?
I bought my laptop, like, 3 years ago. I paid the money because it's what I wanted.

so let me get this straight

you dont think macs are any better, in any way, than pcs

yet you willingly spend the extra thousand dollars to buy a mac

which you just said isnt any better than the pc you could have gotten for half the price

LOL

can you say tool douche bag piece of shit? cause i sure can

ILL BUY ANYTHING IF ITS SHINY AND MADE BY APPLE

gaslight 05-18-2009 11:48 AM

Haha. Oh man I loved that Onion video.

BenJammin 05-18-2009 11:54 AM

It wasn't $1000 more than anything else I would have considered. In any case, as I said, 3 years ago, it was the smallest laptop with the best battery life. There weren't a whole lot of 13" laptops with 6 hour battery life out at the time. I wanted to try something different. So I bought a Mac.

Moon Flavor 05-18-2009 12:21 PM

NO BEN THAT'S NOT TRUE YOU'RE REALLY A TOOL DOUCHEBAG POS THAT ONLY BOUGHT IT BECUZ ITS SHINY

sade even said so!
apple really did the mp3 player right. as much as i hate macs and mac users, the ipod just cannot be beaten.

i love the arguments for macs, too

hey friend, what makes a mac better?

"uhhh.....well....uhhh....you can do....uhhh, well, it can uhhh do picture editing better"

OH MY ****ING GOD BRB SPENDING EXTRA GRAND FOR PIC EDITING SOFTWARE
For the most part, I agree with that first statement. The plastic is cheap and the batteries are known to crap out early, but yes.

The f**king iTunes software is terrible though. I cannot think of a music player/catalog that I hate more.

If Microsoft would make a few changes to the Zune, I'd say that it blows the iPod out of the water. Firstly, getting rid of the Zune software and allow it to just be seen as a USB drive, reading id3 tags from the .mp3 files.. Second, EQ controls on the Zune itself. The thing is made of metal with a thick glass screen, so it's damn sturdy.

Moon Flavor 05-18-2009 12:33 PM

Nothing wrong with itunes it's quite organized and keeps my music folder organized for me too

To each his own. I prefer to have all my music neatly categorized in folders on my terabyte harddrive, no need for a program to do it for me.

Not only that, my ex swore by iTunes, so it's already poopty before I even throw out rational reasons to despise it.

But my music is neatly categorized in folders on my external HD as well!

You have no rational reason just admit it!

I don't care for the layout, and I'm honestly very basic with my music. I like to set up my folders my way and I like Windows Media Player for a music player. I guess I'm just old-fashioned.

Moon Flavor 05-18-2009 01:34 PM

Ugh windoze media gayer more like

I tried this once, but USPS said that assholes were on the list of items they cannot ship. UPS and FedEx said the same, although FedEx does allow the shipping of pork butts, which is almost the same thing, I'm guessing.

FunkMetalBass 05-18-2009 02:21 PM

I've just gotten ahold of Nuclear Rabbit's Mutopia album.

I won't be YSI-ing it later so that you guys can't download it also and not enjoy the bass in it.

Then again, nobody on the boards likes bass anymore, so nobody will care.

And here it isn't.

fatbandit 05-18-2009 04:37 PM

Yeah, that's an alright album. I love What Would He-Man Do. I wish it wasn't recorded/mixed so badly. And that their singer didn't suck.

fatbandit 05-18-2009 04:39 PM

I would actually buy an iPhone if it wasn't 8GB

FunkMetalBass 05-18-2009 04:45 PM

I would actually buy an iPhone if it wasn't made by Apple, wasn't so expensive, wasn't a touch screen, and wasn't made by Apple.

FunkMetalBass 05-18-2009 04:48 PM

Intestinal Fortitude won't be coming up later. And Vicuna after that.

I love how their singer is all over the place, much like Sikth and M.S.I.

Epidemechanical 05-18-2009 04:54 PM

ugh nuclear rabbit

funkmetalbass why do you like such terrible music

even dave hates NR

Epidemechanical 05-18-2009 04:55 PM

and did you seriously just compare NR to sikth

wow dude.

fatbandit 05-18-2009 04:56 PM

Their singer is all over the place in a bad way. The main singer in Sikth just has INCREDIBLE control over his voice.

Element of Surprise stuff is far better than NR for Jean Baudin's playing in a band setting.

Yeah, both the dudes from Sikth were insanely good.

There's something about the NR singer that I loved though. Then again, I like Les Claypool's voice, and occasionally Connor Oberst.

Elements of Surprise...never new that Jean Baudin played in that band. I'll have to check them out again.
and did you seriously just compare NR to sikth

 No. Taking it out of context. The two bands are nothing alike and I would take Sikth hands down because every aspect of their music is tighter, better balanced, has a purpose, and the production is infinitely better. I simply meant that their lead singer's voice is all over the spectrum. It's refreshing to hear at times, and I wish more vocalists did it.

Epidemechanical 05-18-2009 05:09 PM

umm no please stop talking nuclear rabbit's vocals are a joke

fatbandit 05-18-2009 05:23 PM

pretty much this ^

Spaceman Spiff 05-18-2009 06:55 PM

Finally started recording guitar today. Hopefully it won't take too long to complete.

It feels awesome to have my first song done.
