You're not supposed to get any presents at all, so thank your parents for assimilating.
i really need to see a scanner darkly, the book was really good.
Yeah, it was sweet. Philip k Dick is a great writer.

Most movie adaptations have been good too.

JonM 12-21-2006 10:03 AM

I'm about to read Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said. Scanner Darkly was bangin.

Electronic Wolf 12-21-2006 10:17 AM
To be honest, I don't think people will even consider listening to thte Decemberists because of what Funk played, I think people will listen to them because everyone loves Colbert and they were on it. Watch them blow up now...

I need to see them live...but no shows are ever around...and if they are I miss them..
I cannot see them live ever. Colin Meloy's solo performance was so awesome, I'm afraid that a Decemberists show will change my opinion of him and the band. Because, to be honest, I've never liked anyone except him and Rachel. Everyone else can be replaced.

Electronic Wolf 12-21-2006 12:26 PM

Is it a cool wallet?

Glitterati 12-21-2006 01:01 PM

I'm planning on starting to read High Fidelity today.

I hope I don't get too many CDs for christmas.

Electronic Wolf 12-21-2006 01:02 PM
it's alright, it's black. What more could you ask for?
_Mote_ 12-21-2006 02:28 PM

The books always are better then the movies...

I thought this was a well known fact to people above the age of 9.

_Mote_ 12-21-2006 02:38 PM

I'm just saying that the books are almost always better then the movies.

My bad if I came across as snarky.
My friend gave me New York Dolls - Rock N Roll (Greatest Hits), so I'm pretty happy right now.

_Mote_ 12-21-2006 02:44 PM

I don't know why I've been leglecting listening to the Dolls for so long.

Kick ass stuff righ' here.

I am currently reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

_Mote_ 12-21-2006 03:36 PM

I'm reading The Call of the Wild.

Easy as hell, but I need to read it for school.

sexymuffin 12-21-2006 03:49 PM

ugh ydload wtf dude

and anyways, i thought the colbert report was pretty sweet last night. I don't really like the decemberists all that much and their guitarist sucks. Yeah colbert didn't play, but who actually expected him to? I knew he'd get around it somehow and it was pretty funny.

"Look this is blood!"
how is that a negative thing
bleep_bloop 12-21-2006 05:06 PM

why doesnt anybody ever talk to me in the soulseek chatroom?

br3ad_man 12-21-2006 05:15 PM

Rocky is a ****ing terrible movie. How they made so many sequels is completely beyond me.

I'm reading Catch-22 at the moment. I read A Clockwork Orange last week.

Anxious 12-21-2006 05:32 PM

Catch-22 is extremely good.

br3ad_man 12-21-2006 05:52 PM

It is probably the funniest book I've ever read.

Clockwork Orange was such a good book.

Saw Rocky Balboa today and I liked it even though it kinda sucked.

Anyone watch the guitar duel between Colbert and The Decemberists? Chris Funk got destroyed.

edit: nvm sexymuffin beat me to it

Bukowski 12-21-2006 07:09 PM

It took me ages to get into the book (Clockwork Orange), because of the weird language used. But it's good when you do. The movie is excellent.

I struggle with William Burroughs as well sometimes, Naked Lunch can be a hard read.

_Mote_ 12-21-2006 07:10 PM

I've been meaning to read Naked Lunch ever since I heard that song he did with R.E.M..

I thought Clockwork Orange was really captivating. I loved the language in it. Not a big fan of the movie since it kinda ruined what I thought of Alex and stuff plus it left out the last chapter.

Currently reading One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. I like it so far.

_Mote_ 12-21-2006 07:17 PM

The DVD of One Flew Over... is on the table right next to me.
