Oh, it wasn't bad by any means. Just, relative to the first show, at which the only post-cowboy song they played was Joy as an encore, it wasn't [i]as[/i] good. Smoke or Fire was excellent though.

I need to get in on the New Wave commentary and just say that I think it is a pretty good album especially when considered alone, not against their past. I like it.

I heard Thrash Unreal on the satellite radio at work today (XM 47, Ethel). Then I changed the station to 43, XMU. They played two songs from The National in a row. It was a pretty good 10-or-so-minute stretch.

I think Thrash Unreal is a pretty good song. I just don't like the chorus.

It kind of makes me wince when I hear it. It's tolerable though.

I like the chorus, I just don't like choruses in general. After actually reading the lyrics to that song, it fits. The main reason I can't get into against me!'s stuff from the last two albums is they just seem to follow the usual format when before they did not so often.

i heard 'don't lose touch' today on the edge (for those of you in southern ontario) thats. they mentioned the new album when it came out, but i haven't heard anything from it yet on the radio. i did buy it first day but haven't really listened to it much since i got the leaked and bought two better albums the same day.

Did any of you guys watch that DVD of Live At Key Club that came with the New Wave cd? I think they played a really really mediocre set.

I just swung by to see what the word was on [i]New Wave[/i], actually. I heard about half of it at a party this weekend, and I kinda dug most of it. Has the serious hatin' already commenced?

it seems to be more of a serious "meh" then serious hatin'.

saw against me with these arms are snakes(?) and mastadon. wierd line up and there was texas style metal heads (with leather cowboy hats and all). the set list for against me was amazing. The best show i have ever seen.

the dvd on new wave i dont really like, because theres not enough audience. half of an against me! show is audience singing.

When I listen to the radio I usually listen to the Edge. Still haven't heard any AM! on a radio though.

Anyway, new albums not that bad, Up the Cuts is my favorite.

There playing them a lot out here. I don't mind, I'd rather hear Thrash Unreal over some shitty My Chemical Romance song.

Well there are 3 singles from New Wave, White People, Stop! and Thrash Unreal. So I guess they're just releasing all of them at the same time pretty much? I know that they're working on a video for Stop! right now.

Stop's a single? I mean its catchy...but along with Animal it is the worst on the album.

Yeah, sorry about that. But I really wouldn't mind it if New Wave was a single, that's one of my favourite songs on the album.

New Wave is ok, the chorus comes out of nowhere though. I don't think it flows at all.
