Weirdo!

Gnarmageddon 05-01-2005 01:39 PM

Fatal Frame is quite possibly the scariest game I have ever played.

Permanent Solution 05-01-2005 02:02 PM

So I got a Win32 virus today, first thing when I woke up. deleted all my anti virus stuff and I can't get hem to work...so I manually deleted all the files using regedit...this day sucks.

My computer's been lame today too. It was going horrendously slow- like a good 20 seconds from mouse click to consequence of mouse click, so I peeked through my task manager and found out something called IEXPLORE.exe was taking up all of my CPU capabilities! So I junked it and things seem to be normal for now...

That's internet explorer...you dunce haha. Man...you'd probably have been screwed if you got this virus :p I had to run exes to find it and delete binary profiles and...:technical jargon: Oy...I slept 14 hours and was still a little irritable, but then that ruined it right there :-/

poprocks&coke 05-01-2005 02:53 PM

I slept 12 hours last night.

I needed it, I had drunken people harrasing me all night.

Rancid Dan 05-01-2005 02:55 PM

Hey, just checking in.

I've just came back form my granparents, and we met loads of family and stuff.:upset:

Oh well, i came back £25 more wealthy

Silent Hill and Clock Tower did it for me. Resident Evil too when I was like 11.

No, I think it was something else because that was the second "iexplore" file I saw, and besides my IE's working fine now. It was a disguise or something, I dunno.

Silent Hill has always scared the hell out of me.

ChodaBoy 05-01-2005 03:47 PM

Yea, I was scared of that when I first played it. In the dark. Late at night. On my own...

PDWAB 05-01-2005 03:51 PM

I guess I never really realized how much of a nerd I was until this one weekend when my parents were gone and I was by myself for the whole time. So what do I do? I call up my girlfriend.... and we spend the whole weekend playing Silent Hill at her house. :upset:

That's one of the viruses I got the other night when my computer went to hell. I'm not sure if that's the one that trashed my Norton or what, but it was gay. Now I have McAfee Security Suite 2005. The same virus tried to come back to get me, and McAfee nuked it on site.

Wow, these TE kids are starting to bug me.
[14:47] Emma: Jared you really should get over jesse banning you,
[14:48] Jared:  I am over it. My opinion towards TE has nothing to do with that.
[14:48] Jared: And it hasn't for quite a while.
[14:49] Emma: okay then why all the snide comments on MX about how crap TE is?
[14:49] Emma: and dont say
[14:49] Jared: Because TE is crap. Plain and simple. There really isn't anything more to it than that.
[14:49] Emma: cause it is
[14:49] Emma: because thats bull****, you ****ing bummed the place
[14:49] Jared: Bummed?
[14:50] Emma: yes, you postively loved the place
[14:50] Emma: you worshiped it
[14:50] Emma: ;oh guys this place is so awesome i love it here you all rock yatter yatter yatter
[14:51] Jared: Uh, no. Unlike you, who can't seem to differentiate between the internet and real life, I have preferences on the internet, not emotional attachments. Like right now, since I have no emotional attachment to you, I have no problem blocking your s/n and never talking to you again. Enjoy your lame *** forum, and enjoy defending it like a douchebag.
I'm running the mcafee my school has, and it said "This program has been blocked due to blah blah blah, continue blocking?" Then I clicked yes and all of a sudden I sent out 20 IM messages spreading it and my anti virus was destroyed. Luckily I have some computer knowledge :-/ I'm going to the tech guys at school tomorrow to fix the other stuff.

Ouch. That's why, unless it's asking permission for a program that I'm running right at the moment, I just click the block button. I'm not taking any chances.

No no, you misunderstand, I did click block, it went around it.

Well that's weird. If whatever version of McAfee that computer is running is up to date, that shouldn't happen. You got bwnd.

PDWAB 05-01-2005 04:08 PM
Wow, these TE kids are starting to bug me.
It is kind of an interesting timeline, though.

-Jared gets supermodded at TE
-Jared denounces MX and extolls the virtues of TE
-Jared gets demodded and banned at TE
-Jared comes back to MX and denounces TE

sweboy 05-01-2005 04:09 PM

What the hell is TE? Who the hell is Jared?

It happens. I did used to denounce TE because of what happened with me, but after going back on a proxy a couple of times and scoping out the community, I realized that while anyone inside of the community may not see it, from a third-person view that place is an elitist paradise. I'd rather not promote something like that.

Puma 05-01-2005 04:13 PM

TE is complete garbage. Everyone there is high on their own ego.

Check the warning on the right side. My McAfee is on top of things.

I have a feeling I'd like TE a lot more if I lived in England.

NP: Jackson 5 - ABC
