That's where you are wrong. Mustaine's solos are much more difficult than Hammet's, even though I still like Metallica more than Megadeth.

i think hammet is a better guitarist than mustaine. hammet is what made metallica what they are now. cuz he made kick asse solos.

No, Hetfield is what Metallica so great, seeing as how he writes every song. And did you not hear what I said just a post ago about the solos? If you knew much about playing guitar you'd know that Megadeth's guitar parts are much harder than Metallica's.

Then how can you make those statements about Kirk being better than Dave? You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

Slayer is my favorite band, but I will say that Mustaine is a lot better at doing solos than Hanneman or King. Also, have you heard the Metallica demos with Mustaine on them? Hammett couldn't even play them so he had to slow them down, and change certain parts. Proof of Mustaine's superiority at guitar... listen to anything off of Rust in Peace.

So, I hear that the solos for The Antichrist on Decade of Aggression is different than the studio version... are they better?

People that know anything about Slayer know that their solos are actually pretty bad and often annoying, but it's the riffs that make them so great.

Do you mean the album or song? Well I guess they would be the same thing, but yeah, the title track is the best song on the album by far. By the end of the album I just get tired of it and usually turn it off by about the 4th or 5th song.

I like Necrophiliac best off Hell Awaits.

Megadeth's guitar parts are much harder yes. I can play most Metallica parts but I'm stumped when it comes to Megadeth. I have 3/4 of Holy Wars down and I've been trying for a year.

So yeah, nothing new for me with Hell Awaits, At Dawn they Sleep is still my favorite song on that album. As well as my favorite Slayer song.

yeah... Kerry King definately isnt anything special on guitar. Jeff isnt either for that matter.

Both Jeff and Kerry have said that they know almost no music theory. Thats why the solos are hardly ever in the same key as the song. I still love the solos though because they fit the mood of the song. Jeff and Kerry are also masters at writing riffs.

Kerry's solo in War Ensemble is ace though.

My favorite Slayer solo EVER!!!!! It's actually pretty easy to play also. I'd say the hardest Slayer solos to play are the solos in Seasons in the Abyss.

i think they are. their fingerwork/picking is incredible.
but then kirk/marty/dave are better anyway, for writing and becasue they know the theory, meaning that the solos go with the underlying chords.
