Actually I'm just kidding man, haha go Ahead. I have no rights to it or anything. And I think it's cool
Well if you do sue, you won't get very much.

Actually I thought of a better name. Black Thunder sounds pretty cool.

If push comes to shove I'll just use High Voltage.:thumb:

I was actually thinking of how to say that with offending but couldn't think of anything.

Black Thunder sticks more than anything else but I'm still auditioning ppl for the band. Once we get everyone, we'll vote on the name.

I've started working on a setlist. Here's what I've got so far:

Thunderstruck (my fav. AC/DC song)
Hells Bells
Back In Black
Highway to Hell
Big Balls
For Those About To Rock
Beating Around the Bush

here's some other songs I want to do:

Ride On
Whole Lotta Rosie
Hell Ain't a Bad Place To Be
School Days
Shot Down In Flames

Romencer17 11-01-2005 10:18 PM

lighting metal, exactly where in Cali? Need a rhythm guitaris (heh, just kidding)

Sounds good to me man. In the band I guitar for we're all big AC/DC fans, and we've actually covered;

Highway to Hell.
Back in Black.
Hells Bells.
Jailbreak.
Dirty Deeds.
Long way to the top.
Whole lotta' rosie.
Sin city.
Shot down in flames.
Rocker.
Rock and Roll damnation.
If you want blood.
You shook me all night long.
What you do for money honey?
TNT.
Gone shootin'.
Riff Raff.

Might as bloody well be an AC/DC tribute band.

EmoWETdreams 11-03-2005 07:07 PM

AC/DC is old now. There stuff gets boring. My brother is in a band also, but they still need a drummer. How hard can it be just to find a friggin` drummer. How lame. And yeah, just might as well be an AC/DC tribute band. Thunderstruck and TNT are my ALL time favorites. But they get so annoying afterwards.

First off...Welcome to Mx!!

Second, that's not a good way to make friends, EmoWETdreams.

What do you people think of Beating Around The Bush? I think it's hugely underrated, and great if you think Angus doesnt do much except play three chords per song(well he usually does I suppose).

acdc_problemchild07 11-05-2005 11:54 AM

Anyone know if AC/DC is goin on a US tour when there new cd comes out??

classicrockman 11-05-2005 05:37 PM

Could've sworn that I heard Malcom or Angus say that they were going on a world tour after the new album is released. Don't have a web-site link to back you up though.

rippa32 11-05-2005 07:49 PM

Well at least I can rest comfortable they will be doing Australia, considering that is where they live.

Thunderstruck-14 11-05-2005 08:07 PM

AC/DC ROCKS!

:chug:

rippa32 11-06-2005 03:36 AM

Yes they do. Hey look he got banned within three posts, I wonder what he did.

Romencer17 11-06-2005 12:51 PM

Has anyone, by the way, heard of the band called Schubert, or am I the only one?
just let me say in advance that a lot of people will probably disagree with me on this but im kind of hypocritical on this so here i go....

AC/DC is a good band in the sense that they play catchy tunes that you can hear for the first time and sing along to or tap your foot to. but.... Thats because there songs a simple but good. AC/DC isnt all that great of musicians they've won people over simplicity and catchyness
just because somethings not highly technical doesn't mean its not good

It's my fav. AC/DC song.

The intro and main riff is just the E minor blues scale. No real fancy way of playing it either. Just start on e and play the entire E minor blues scale and you've just played beating around the bush.

Anyways, I live in Rosamond which is just a mile or two north of the Kern and LA county border.

I just got a call from a drummer that wants to audition for this band. Veerrryy awesome. I just might actually get this thing going after all.

Plus you can't cover AC/DC unless you finish your set with For Those About To Rock. :thumb:

I should probably just name the band Big Balls.

rippa32 11-08-2005 05:49 AM

Hey it may be a simple scale but the speed he does it at is incredible, it took me three days to perfect without making it sound like a mess.

Word, especially if you do it at the pace they do it off the AC/DC Live album.

Makes me orgasm.

:naughty:

First off, ewwwwww.

2. it doesn't matter what speed you do it, just play it.

3. I forgot to add TNT to my list like an idiot.

4. I'm getting a drummer so I'll be playing all of these songs at gigs very soon.

5. I'm done ranting.

Grutte Pier 11-08-2005 01:35 PM
Well at least I can rest comfortable they will be doing Australia, considering that is where they live.
Where they have lived* I believe Malcolm is the only one who still lives there (and Rudd also maybe?), the rest are scattered around the world.

But I don't think they will cancel Australia.

rippa32 11-08-2005 05:51 PM

They all live in Australia except Rudd who lives in New Zealand, Angus is in Sydney, don't now about the rest.

Riva 11-25-2005 04:54 AM

Brian Johnson lives in his hometown in the UK, I thought.

Do you know when the cd is going to be released?

Romencer17 11-26-2005 12:34 AM

I just noticed today how simple Problem Child is. Anyone could probably play the main riff on the guitar.

rippa32 11-26-2005 12:40 AM

Youll notice that with a lot of AC/DC songs.

The Leper Messiah 11-26-2005 12:45 AM
Youll notice that with a lot of AC/DC songs.
Yeah, they're definetely not hard to play.

lightningmetal666 11-28-2005 01:57 PM
I just noticed today how simple Problem Child is. Anyone could probably play the main riff on the guitar.
Yep, all of their songs are like that (except for a couple that have some weird lead work in it.)

And as quickly as i put it together, my tribute band fell apart and broke up dammit.:upset:

Brewer14 11-28-2005 03:29 PM

I'm learning the Back in Black solo

It's a big step up from You Shook Me, the last AC/DC solo I learned, haha.

angusvsslash52 11-28-2005 03:54 PM

no news on the album yet?
