and I think you're right, that most producers would say hip hop = easier to producer than dubstep. But my primary reason for believing this, is because dubstep is so "new" compared to hip hop. People have had approximately 30 years now to master the art of producing hip hop beats. We're now able to boil the process down to a few simple ingredients. Think about thirty years from today though. We'll probably be laughing @ the dubstep productions of today and saying "lol, all you need is a wobbly bassline and a stuttering drum pattern"

Rather than go to the restroom, Sally slipped behind the cafeteria building and rummaged in her purse. She found one of the two beaten and weathered cigarettes her older brother had given her the night before. “This better last you at least 24 hours,” he had said.
“Damnit,” she muttered. She had forgotten her lighter, and there was nothing that could be done about it at school.
Footsteps rang out behind her. She snatched the cigarette out of her mouth abruptly and turned around.
