Wintermute 11-28-2004 07:52 AM

It is a matter of opinion, that's true.

I do watch Friends and Scrubs quite often. They're easily watcheable. Can't remember the last time I laughed at either of them though.

peeted 11-28-2004 07:55 AM

yea i have a habit of stating my opinions in a mater of fact way

fatbandit 11-28-2004 08:07 AM

Ah, now Scrubs is amusing. Not side splittingly funny though. The last really funny program I watched was Little Britain. That and Shooting Stars.

nisakss 11-28-2004 08:22 AM

I like Scrubs, it has a naive feeling about it that makes so much watchable than all the rest of the stuff, full of dumb problems blown out of proportions (Oc, Summerland, Gilmore Girls, etc...).

The only other show I like to watch, that off course is a blown out of proportion series, is Niptuck. I think it's funny.

Wintermute 11-28-2004 08:26 AM

The compulsory moral education 'I've learned something today' at the end of Scrubs annoys the hell out of me, but it's worth it just for Dr. Cox.

Wintermute 11-28-2004 08:38 AM

:surprise:

I'm just watching an old film called 'The Absent Minded Professor'...

I had no idea that Flubber was nothing more than a remake. This is identical, but older, and the goo is purple. Also I have yet to see it express personality, it is even called Flubber.

Plus the robot is an old woman instead.

nisakss 11-28-2004 08:49 AM

Any movie made with Robin Williams in it sucks, except Good Morning Vietnam.

Bassinator89 11-28-2004 09:01 AM

I'm eating venison jerky, god this stuff is awesome.

peeted 11-28-2004 09:07 AM

ah yes the sappy lerning thing thing about ameican comody realy does suck. i much prefer laughing at criples than lerning things

peeted 11-28-2004 09:07 AM

and what the hell is a jerky?

reidster90 11-28-2004 09:48 AM

These are what the people that I've talked to the last few weeks think I look/act like.

Billie Joe from Green Day
Will Ferrell
Ali G
their friend William

peeted 11-28-2004 10:08 AM

nisakss 11-28-2004 10:13 AM

In my office, a lot f people say I look like Harry Potter....

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 10:15 AM

If any of you were on last night.... MY PARENTS WON'T LET ME GET THE AMP! Man, this sucks the hairiest wang ever.

Wintermute 11-28-2004 10:15 AM

I used to get a lot of Frodo, along with 'ooh, some guy I know, I'm sure you remind me of someone... now who was it....'

Not much of either any more though.

Wintermute 11-28-2004 10:15 AM
If any of you were on last night.... MY PARENTS WON'T LET ME GET THE AMP! Man, this sucks the hairiest wang ever.
Why not?

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 10:15 AM

And to top it off, I just threw up. ****.

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 10:16 AM

They say my current amp is good enough for anything.

Wintermute 11-28-2004 10:17 AM

Do they know what their talking about? What is your current amp?

I have to say if my dad said that to me the answers would be along the line of 'Yes, but:
A)You don't know what you're talking about
B)My money'

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 10:20 AM

The have no idea what they are talking about

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 10:21 AM

I have a 15 watt Trace Elliot.... NOT GOOD FOR A BAND WITH THREE GUITARISTS.

supercalifragilistic 11-28-2004 10:24 AM

true enough

what would happen if you bought it anyway? Could they, like, take your bass from you or something?

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 10:26 AM

They have taken my basses away from me, as we speak. The question is, how would I get there?

Wintermute 11-28-2004 10:27 AM

Have you tried explaining to them that a 15W amp, even a GK, has no chance over 3 guitarists and a drummer? Also that it's your money you're spending?

Odd are they're really worried about you keeping them awake at nights with thunderous bass. Try promising to also get good quality headphones!

Wintermute 11-28-2004 10:28 AM
They have taken my basses away from me, as we speak.
Um...why?

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 10:29 AM

No, They aren't worried about headphones, I already have some nice ones...

They haven't even let me explain myself yet.

EDIT: They took them away because I am disrespectful and contrary.

Radiobass81 11-28-2004 10:29 AM

Take them to band practice. After it, ask them if they heard the bass.

If they say yes, get a Roland :thumb:.

Hey Nisakss, anything new?
They have taken my basses away from me, as we speak. The question is, how would I get there?
oh my god your parents are monsters!

Well you'll just have to convince them that you'd be a better son, student, friens, bass player etc WITH that amp.

And if that doesn't work, fraude your mom: tell her you love her just before you go to school. :thumb:

I tried that...

FUNKNBASS 11-28-2004 10:31 AM

Hey everyone.

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 10:31 AM

By the way, do I come across as disrespectful and contrary?

FUNKNBASS 11-28-2004 10:34 AM
By the way, do I come across as disrespectful and contrary?
Not at all.

Radiobass81 11-28-2004 10:36 AM

Hey FUNKN.

Anything new?

Mitchell Royce 11-28-2004 10:38 AM

Ehhm Paul, how old are you really? It sounds like your parents are treating you like a 12 year old. Seriously though, can you not get at your own money? As far as I know you can set up a checking account that you have control over and access to by the time you're 16.

supercalifragilistic 11-28-2004 10:39 AM
I tried that...
****, then I don't know either.
Maybe try to be extra friendly and polite and get some good grades, chances are that in a week or three they let you get the amp.

FUNKNBASS 11-28-2004 10:39 AM

Not really, though it is re-stringing time so kisss another pay check goodbye.

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 10:42 AM

I'm almost 15.

Chances are, in a week or three, it'll be gone.

Radiobass81 11-28-2004 10:44 AM

Do you have a music teacher? The only way to convince them that you really need the amp is by a musician* telling them so.

*As in one who earns his money from music.

supercalifragilistic 11-28-2004 10:45 AM

well then, I guess life is just being a bitc for you.

And she's not really friendly for me neither...

Lets' kill Life
