they are as black metal as Alcest are. it's pretty music with the occasional blasted beat and growl. it's guitar oriented with a lot iof ethereal and abstract elements. i.e. shoegaze. there's obviously (black) metal influence, but this is not in any way black metal. black metal is not pretty. ever.

I like the whispering throughout, not so sure about the riff that starts at around 1:56. Vocals have become more "BM" at some points imo. Clean vocals are good as always. Don't really like the part that starts around 5:25 and ends around 5:39.


Dig the tremolo that kicks in at 6:36



The ending is bittersweet. I enjoy the ambiance but for some reason the piano seems a bit cheesy, not sure.

new agalloch track sounds aight, not into them but it was p good, cheesy at parts but whatev

this is really good so far. the production tone on all of the instruments is really awkward for agalloch though, they don't really seem to do well with thin guitars w/ minimal effects and drums this loud.

Don't see how this Agalloch track is any cheesier than the plethora of lo-fi garbage that's worshipped here but okay.

This wasn't very good, it sounds like Agalloch went all fan-service with this to make up for changing their sound recently.
