I haven't seen that one yet, and I've been meaning to do so...
It is muchly funny. I don't care what the newspapers say. |
What did you think of the moe. song?
It was good, very lively and catchy, but really laid-back and smooth at the same time. I don't suppose you read the death heads thread, do you? |

Well generally, every movie that comes out, a critic seems to HAVE to bash it, but you go to the movie and it really is entertaining. Then you see movies that critics praise, but they're (usually) fucking boring. |
people did in the R&M poll, so I assume it'll be allright
Yeah, well..it hasn't stopped me so far :) Voted for Coc Sparrer, Discharge and a few others. |
Yeah, well..it hasn't stopped me so far :) Voted for Coc Sparrer, Discharge and a few others.
I haven't. I haven't heard all of the albums and I don't want to commit any atrosictites by voting. Anyway, I'm off out. Bye  |

Yea, most of their songs are like that. And no I don't read it, why? |
Speaking of punk, is anyone here voting in the punk forum's best albums poll? I'm not sure if I'm supposed to, being from outside the forum..
I am, Bad Religion and The Filaments all the way. |

Bartender voting on Punk? |
I am, Bad Religion and The Filaments all the way.
Have you heard The Empire strikes first? |
This is taking a while, i hope everyone posts in it once its complete.
|

Just because Azagthoth (the threadstarter) made a surprise reappearance after months of absence, and he's gotten heavily into Phish, the Allmans, Grateful Dead, etc in the meantime. Not really important, but I liked knowing so I figured you might, somehow. |
Have you heard The Empire strikes first?
I own it, best Bad Religion album to date. |
I own it, best Bad Religion album to date.
Yeah, I have it too, it's great. What should I get next? |
Hey people.
|
I own it, best Bad Religion album to date.
For Bad Religion, I really enjoyed "No Substance". I'm not much of a fan of any of that stuff over all, but I thought that that album was real good for what it had to offer. |

Anyway, I'm off out. Bye
See you later.
Bartender voting on Punk?
Yep. Just went to check, so far my votes have been; Refused - The Shape of Punk To Come Husker Du - Zen Arcade (though in that one I was tempted by Inflammable Material) Cock Sparrer - Shock Troops Fear - The Record Conflict - The Ungovernable Force I think that's it. I was pretty sure I had voted for Discharge's debut album in one of the polls, but I can't seem to find which one it's in :-/ I haven't posted in any of the threads, though, and I haven't voted in all the polls. |

 So a deathhead leaves and comes back a deadhead, interesting. |
This seems like a nice, mellow thread...might as well make myself comfortable in it.
|
Anyone here like Breaking Benjamin? I've heard they are like tool, and one of their songs impressed me the other day...any suggestion of an album?
|
I'll upload some Funeral Dress. :)

Here's his returning post. He mentions a site with lots of free live music up for download (including some Mike Gordon/Leo Kottke, which I'm slowly working my way through). You guys in the CR thread probably already know of it, but just in case..there you go. |

What kind of punk are they? I may also be interested. |

Well they had an album called 'Sing along pogo punk' and that might describe it best. I don't know if you'd like it. I find it extremely catchy, and these guys can really play their instruments (they have a lot of solos) Except in this song maybe. :D http://s3.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1TBXZE5RH0LXW39H7C3LF37MKX But I really like this song. |

Yea, that site was posted in the Jam Band thread. I haven't gotten around to listening to anything on it though, I usually go here: http://web1.nugs.net/ which I think has been posted in here before. |
It may well have been, but I wasn't paying attention, so thanks.
*bookmarks* Superpeer - downloading it now, thanks :) |
Azaghtoth's post made me wonder whether I'll still listen to Deathor Black metal when I'm older. :-/
|
I downloaded that song, Superpeer. It is catchy, but not really my thing, and the guy's voice is far too Belgian :p

He is fairly accented, yes. :p |
Right the thread is done. It will be up shortly. It is a very basic overview of modern punk btw, so dont flame me.
|
I didn't care much for his voice either, but the song was alright. I suppose it's not really my kind of thing either :-/
Azaghtoth's post made me wonder whether I'll still listen to Deathor Black metal when I'm older. :-/
Older? He's only 17. EDIT: scratch that, he's almost 19 now. Evidently I think of him as a permanent 17. To be honest, it made me wonder what had happened to Angeldeath, but I didn't ask. I was glad to see him around. |
