I've had a major obsession with Bolt Thrower the past week, and to a lesser extent Assuck.

My DM listening for the past week has basically been Cartilage, GOV, Embrace The End, and Death Breath.

Bolt Thrower is just ****ing heavy.

They're certainly more melodic and a bit slower than the average DM band, but that doesn't make them any less "death metaly". They just represent the opposite end of the genre's spectrum.

I realize no one was questioning if they're death metal. I was trying to point out that some people may not find them as good because they don't have blistering fast, intricate riffs, etc. They're just more simple. They're like the AC/DC of DM. They play simple, yet catchy as hell riffs and most of their albums sound very similar but for what they are, they're great.

I think Bolt Thrower is great, Mappy its just not you're main style, there are plenty of bands that you think are great that I can't stand, just as there are plenty of death metal bands that people are going to find amazing and you're not going to agree with it
