Sliptallica's profile? Why did you link me to this?

What the F, you're right.

Try that..I meant to link to the account merge/change/etc.. thread.

Joe, I really like your band's style, but your vocals need to be more harsh, not all out screaming, but I think a nice hardy shout would fit your music perfectly, and you proved you could do that at the beginning.

Arucard 09-25-2005 01:17 PM

Awesome. So you think its good stuff?

yeah, I need to get my name changed soon.
Awesome. So you think its good stuff?
I really liked the guitarwork, and I think your accent sounds really cool on the vocals. It sucks for me as a vocalist, 'cause in most cases the American accent is really bland on clean vocals :upset:.

Arucard 09-25-2005 01:24 PM

Ha, yah. It took alot work to get to that stage of singing though, when i became the vocalist i couldn't sing for sheet. Would you like another video? It's only about 1/3 of a song, but its a good song.

i am the robots 09-25-2005 01:27 PM

Not really, I didn't like the sound quality, the drumming sounded like a midi file in the background of the FFI soundtrack :). Once you get some stuff with better recording quality, I'll be glad for some uploads,.

Arucard 09-25-2005 01:29 PM

Haha, alright. Our drummer is bloody awesome though, when we finish our album (eventually, i'm still writing for it :\), i'll upload it for you.

I love him as a drummer, he handles everything with ease. He can pull of Chapter Four and Reminissions with ease, so he's a good drummer in my eyes :)

Lord Abortion 09-25-2005 01:31 PM

I quite like it, seems a little too long, but it seems cool.

One of my good friends is a beastly drummer as well. He plays Slayer and Cradle of Filth drum stuff all the time, so I think it's safe to say that he is good.

Holy crap, if he can play stuff the Rev can play, he is absolutely amazing in my eyes.

My friend Ben is really good too, he played along with The Moor and Master's Apprentices by Opeth the first time he ever heard them, he figured out the beat, and then joined in, it was absolutely nuts. He can play Meshuggah songs for feck sake!

The only entire Meshuggah I can play is New Millenium Cyanide Christ. I've checked out and learned a few parts of I, because learning the whole song would be stupid hard.

Dr. Jake Destructo 09-25-2005 01:35 PM

I'm sure there are a lot of drummers that can play Meshuggah songs, but doing it correctly takes a LOT of talent.

Thor 09-25-2005 01:36 PM

First drummer to play "This Dying Soul" by Dream Theater correctly gets $20!

Yah, hes a good drummer. The song you saw is one i don't show any skill on atall, the opener of our album called 'No Escape' has some pretty good soloing in from me

i am the robots 09-25-2005 01:39 PM

Haha, playing yourself up? Nah, I'm just messing around, I believe you.

Good work man! You need to post more samples in the Entertainment Forums audio arena man, I remember when you posted them the one time, I really liked your style.

Yeah, the only easy to way to figure out what Haake is playing is by listening to the guitars, but when you can't do that it's almost near impossible.

Thanks. I think my microphone broke, but I'll see about that.

Arucard 09-25-2005 01:40 PM

I can big myself up if i wish, its taken ages to get together a good band that i enjoy.

:p

Lord Abortion 09-25-2005 01:44 PM

Yeah, saying your own band is awesome is hardly arrogant.
If you don't have confidence in your own music, who else will?

I guess you've got a point, but most people in bands always say that they hate their music so they will get sympathy. They're pussies.

Yes, but being able to play Haake's work in time still takes skill.

That sucks about the mic.

That is a really good philosophy, but I think saying your band is 'awesome' is a bit far.

Arucard 09-25-2005 01:50 PM

Like i said, i didn't say we are awesome as a whole, i just said i thought this solo was good. I didn't mean to come of as a twat.

Sorry.
