Which Built to Spill album should I get? I'm seeing the Meat Puppets open for them in a few weeks, but I've never listened to them before.
i'd go with There's Nothing Wrong With Love and Perfect From Now On, and you might as well check out You In Reverse since they'll probably play a lot off of that. I'm seeing them with the Meat Puppets on saturday.

today i've been digging Opal's Early Recordings, and i just downloaded Happy Nightmare Baby so i'm giving that a listen.

Perfect From Now On and There's Nothing Wrong With Love are both really good, and it's hard to not find likable songs on at least one of those albums.

RRaaveee Music!

Psytrance is the f'ucking best, bands like Juno Reactor, Hallucinogen, Shpongle and Astral Projection.

cbmartinez 02-25-2008 08:03 PM

shpongle is sick!

StreetlightRock 02-25-2008 08:19 PM

That they are. It's nuts, I downloaded this trance mix from Paul Oakenfold and I've just spent the last week digging up awesome trance artists because of it.

Infidel?/Castro! - Bioentropic Damage Fractal

Involuntary Emotional Response is an amazing piece of music.

sgrevs 02-26-2008 08:20 AM

Hot Cross - Cryonics

Pretty good stuff.

StreetlightRock 02-26-2008 08:42 AM

Moooreee Rave music!

The Crystal Method, Infected Mushroom, Fluke and Underworld are bending my mind right now.

And The Pine. But they are as far from rave as it gets.

cbmartinez 02-26-2008 11:59 AM

I can give you some trance and various techno stuff, like Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, if you like trance, you'd love Tiesto he's the best.

Zmev 02-26-2008 01:52 PM

Tiesto is so ****ing pompous

The beat is so good.

poopie 02-26-2008 02:45 PM

i dont get it, like is it because i like sister more than daydream nation or that im just now getting to listening to sister or what

Neoteric 02-26-2008 02:47 PM

Pacific Coast Highway is the worst track.

Eliminator 02-26-2008 02:49 PM

i like the mellow part in that song

but the rest kind of sucks. sometimes i like it but usually not

poopie 02-26-2008 02:49 PM

i liked the pace of the song, i cant remember wiat it sounded like right now and im in class but i just liked the way it moved and i remember it had a cool guitar part. and im pretty sure i remember thinking that around the middle of the song

Eliminator 02-26-2008 02:51 PM

the song sounds like sonic youth doing industrial

cbmartinez 02-26-2008 02:54 PM

I like Sister alot

poopie 02-26-2008 02:55 PM

i remember the first time i heard industrial. i was like 11 and it was the soundtrack to this racing game (Test Drive 5), it was all industrial. i thought it was sooo ****in tight, like it was the first time i had heard rock/metal with electronic beats and it was like my favorite music for a while. but i dont get why youd say it sounds like industrial... i when i think industrial i think KMFDM and Pitchshifter and stuff i duno what you think of. does that song have a drum machine or what, like i wish i could listen to the song again right now

Zmev 02-26-2008 02:57 PM

I used to think Ministry was cool.

Eliminator 02-26-2008 02:58 PM

industrial sucks
