i don't get why people **** their pants when Varg says something predictable while they listen to bands like Arghoslent at the same time who say much worse things than anything Varg has said.

well, it's probably not so much his views as it is the fact that he's committed disturbing crimes in the past

The guys in Arghoslent seem like they're well-adjusted despite their radical views, Varg on the other hand is pretty much a social outcast because of his past. I do think he should be given the benefit of the doubt though since he's no longer a hormone-enraged teenager with an axe to grind and is living in seclusion for the most part.

Is Cobalt considered an unelite band? Just randomly downloaded one of their albums and it's pretty sweet so far.

Cobalt are great, they are considered "Hipster BM" by the stupid purists, if that's what you're asking. Gin is incredible all the way through, and so is Eater of Birds.

Yeah I got Gin it's ****ing awesome halfway through but like I was saying to Josh earlier I could see a lot of dumbasses comparing this to Nachtmystium hehehe

Yeah, I've heard that before. They do sound a bit like Altar of Plagues, WITTR imo but still holding their own awesome sound.

what about when he failed to return to prison and they caught him in a stolen station waggon full of guns, ammunition, a satellite phone or GPS thingy and a bunch of other terrifying ****.

What? Cobalt is absolutely nothing like Nachtmystium. Not even remotely similar.

I've heard some people comparing them to be quite honest, but yeah, it's quite stupid.

I don't hear it. Cobalt to me sound like a mix of Agalloch and Neurosis with some black metal or some shi like that.

To me Cobalt sound like WITTR + Neurosis, or something like that, idk. But I don't hear the Nachtmystium part either.

Listening to Peste Noire's Ballade squirrelre...and it's so ****ing great. It took me quite sometime to get into this album.
