Tool and Opeth are playing at Roskilde!
Too bad it's in Denmark, or I'd go for sure.

Also, Porcucpine Tree are awesome.

Drum Phil 02-02-2006 01:33 PM

Fuck. My uncles back in hospital. :( If they dont get a transplant sorted he aint coming back out alive.

aznriceball 02-02-2006 01:34 PM

Hope he's alright. Administrative/hospital matters that tangle up care is the absolute worst

Drum Phil 02-02-2006 01:35 PM

Its not so much an admin problem as finding a donor. He's got asbestosis and needs a lung transplant to survive.

Hmmm, You might want to start with New breed first. The book is set up the same way (They give you a groove to play leaving out a specified part. Then they give you a ton of different melodys to play over the groove) New breed would set you up very nicely for Marcos' book.

Talos 02-02-2006 02:15 PM

Anyone like Dimmu Borgir?

crazyguy832 02-02-2006 02:17 PM

Demon Burger's pretty boring.
Demon Burger's pretty boring.
:amaze:

I cant believe it. Theyre probably the best Death Metal band I know.

crazyguy832 02-02-2006 02:21 PM

Nope. They're pretty crappy now compared to what they used to be.

For GOOD death metal, go listen to bands like Necrophobic or Hate Eternal or Necrophagist (heard they're good, haven't listened to em yet), or Death.

Talos 02-02-2006 02:23 PM

I like In Flames - Probably The Best Band In The World

That only works if youve seen the t-shirt.

crazyguy832 02-02-2006 02:24 PM

O_O

In Flames?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!

No, excuse me, I...

BWHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAAAAAAAA!!!

respect the guys opinion you gimp

Jezen 02-02-2006 02:29 PM

Not sure if anyone else listens to them, but OSI (Office of Strategic Influence) is a GREAT band. I think it was Mike Portnoy that did all the drum tracks for them.
Matter uploaded a couple OSI albums to yousendit.com last year, and I love em!

I covered a few Necrophagist songs on guitar (Filled in for a local band) One of the solos took me about an entire week to learn.

Yes, I respect his opinion of liking the band, I'm just laughing because he said they're the best in the world.

That's like saying Metallica's the best in the world.

Or Blink...

Which I hear a lot...

porcupine tree reminds me of a new rush. lil bit anyway

Janeway 02-02-2006 02:41 PM

I just ate some lovely fries doused in ketchup and I feel better.

Futuro 02-02-2006 02:42 PM
porcupine tree reminds me of a new rush. lil bit anyway
More of Pink floyd IMO, At least Porcupine trees first 8 albums. The last few albums do have a hint of rush.

Janeway 02-02-2006 02:43 PM

Uh oh.
My uber rich neighbor just kicked the bucket.
There's only two left to go now, then it's down to us. I'm scared.
