Awesome, as was to be expected. :D
I'm now at the awesome, but somewhat unusual solo.

Thor 08-08-2008 01:07 PM

It's probably Lindgren, he did lots of really strange leads on that album.

the2stranger 08-08-2008 01:09 PM

The beginning of that solo is so weird, with these heavy metal/bluesy like notes.

I love the last part of the growling where Mike has growling and screeching mixed together.

Thor 08-08-2008 01:11 PM

Even though that song is pretty great it's probably my least favorite on the album.

The opening riff/groove part in By The Pain I See In Others = so much win

the2stranger 08-08-2008 01:13 PM

I love the freaky piano part.
Steven Wilson was such an awesome producer, I wish he'd do another album for them.

Interesting book.

I want to read William Gibson's "Neuromancer", I'll probably start later today since I have nothing else to do.

Yeah, I try to keep my reading diverse.
Even though I'm reading way too little at this moment.

/Checks out your book.

Txus 08-08-2008 01:29 PM

It's the first book of this kind I read, I hope it's good.

Permanent Solution 08-08-2008 01:31 PM

Has anyone else ITT read any Victor Hugo?

the2stranger 08-08-2008 01:32 PM

Nope.
Have you?

Permanent Solution 08-08-2008 01:33 PM

Yeah I read Les Miserables and I'm over halfway through Hunchback of Notre Dame. I really enjoy his stuff but everyone gives me weird looks when I say it's good =\

Txus 08-08-2008 01:35 PM

Les Miserables is a very good book. I want to read Torquemada.

Do you read anything in spanish, vince?

the2stranger 08-08-2008 01:35 PM

I still want to read some of his work.
But there are too many I still want to read.
So I just add him to my list. :p

RiceMonster 08-08-2008 01:43 PM

Pffft, reading.

Txus 08-08-2008 01:44 PM

I like Anime too from time to time :)

Aakon_Keetreh 08-08-2008 02:11 PM

i need to read more

adb 08-08-2008 02:13 PM

I usually don't read anything longer than a few paragraphs, even studying for tests I just skim.

Tyler 08-08-2008 02:55 PM

I've never studied for a test in my life.

So I just got back from the liquor store. It's the "international beer expo", so there's way more imported beer and it's dirt cheap. Bought a bunch of stuff, most of it unpronounceable, and then I get home and find out that she charged me for a case of this Chinese beer when I only bought one. So I just paid like 10 dollars for a 2 dollar beer.

get a job at a pool, that's how i started reading haha

I read a lot of Max Brooks this summer. Dude is hilarious.

Tyler 08-08-2008 03:02 PM

I've been reading lots of comics this summer. Only read three or four books sadly.

Thor 08-08-2008 03:06 PM

I've read four books as well. Both Max Brooks zombie books, Lewis Black's Me of Little Faith, and this book called The Glass Castle for school.

Tyler 08-08-2008 03:07 PM

I really dislike Lewis Black.

And I thought Max Brooks only had one book? The Survival Guide is hardly a book.

Thor 08-08-2008 03:08 PM

Lewis Black's great for his stand-up, but his book got pretty tedious by the end. The last thirty pages or so were a real chore to read.

Brooks wrote The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z.

adb 08-08-2008 03:09 PM

my brother said WWZ was really good, but he reads books and I don't

Tyler 08-08-2008 03:10 PM

Lewis Black gets tedious in general, the twitchy angry EVERYTHING IS ****ING BULLSHIT act has worn tiresome after so many years of it in the public eye.
Brooks wrote The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z.
Yeah, so that's one book like I said. Well, 2 "books", but I mean novel or in terms of streamlined readability. Zombie Survival Guide is kind of a pick up when you're on the toilet and read a section kind of thing.

Thor 08-08-2008 03:11 PM

Both of the Brooks books I read were very, VERY entertaining. I'd check them out even if you don't read often.

Lewis Black's gotten a bit stale over the years but he's still got some killer jokes every now and then. The Root Of All Evil was a letdown for sure, all of his jokes on there sucked.

MANLINESS 08-08-2008 03:12 PM

havent read a single book this summer

keeping it manly

Aakon_Keetreh 08-08-2008 03:20 PM

WWZ was way good. I enjoyed that book a lot.

kappala 08-08-2008 03:23 PM

Pineapple Express was ****ing hilarious
