I have been drinking since i was 13 anyway.
Haha yah exactly my point.......wow 13 thats rly young dude i started drinking when I was a freshman at high school parties (14/15). 13 is like 7th grade

Jev 08-18-2005 12:04 PM

It wasn't every night drinking or anything as serious as that, i just did when i wanted to.

Schecterguitarist 08-18-2005 12:06 PM

Does any1 know how kirk gets that sick sound out of his guitar wen they play the outro to For Whom The Bell Tolls? I think its just a bunch of wah and whammy bar but idk.

Jev 08-18-2005 12:07 PM

It is wah and whammy.

lightningmetal666 08-18-2005 12:10 PM
It is wah and whammy.
Is he just hitting a bunch of random harmonics while using the w and w.

lightningmetal666 08-18-2005 12:14 PM
You know guys are talkin how old you have to be to LEGALLY drink. I don't really giv a **** because in the US you have to be 21 but I'm 17 and I drink with friends and at parties all the time. I'm pretty sure most of us here do that anyway though because most of us are just teens wanting to hav a good time
That was my original point. I don't give a s**t what the law is on drinking. I know I'm a responsible drinker. I don't even drink that much. Both my parents know this, that's why they allow it. I'm just not allowed to get drunk and drive a car or go to a party and get so smashed at a party, that I end up waking up to some ugly b**ch that didn't look so bad the night before.

The question is though, WHY WOULD I WANT TO?

Jev 08-18-2005 12:22 PM
Is he just hitting a bunch of random harmonics while using the w and w.
Probably a mix of harmonics and normal notes.

Britton 08-18-2005 12:37 PM

Yea school started today so last night I through on Tallica's rtl and
a couple friends and I had a bottle of wine. it's not that big of a deal
unless you go out get drunk and kill some one. I don't see why theres
a law on age, it should be that if you kill some one while your drunk you go to jail for life
that would stop a bunch of this, or we could cut off body parts!

Britton 08-18-2005 12:38 PM

Or we could Just Kill e'm all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!make them ride the lighting for there
lack of sense

Dude, are you serious? I saw agent orange a few months back and they f**cking rocked. I thought that they were only surf punk though. I didn't know they did metallica covers. I'm not a huge fan of A.O. but they put on a decent show. I've got to hear this cover.

Jev 08-18-2005 01:37 PM

It's very different.

lightningmetal666 08-18-2005 01:40 PM
It's very different.
Yeah it is but I dare say it rivals the original. When I saw A.O. they also did the most kick @$$ version of secret agent man. Definitely caused a massive mosh. This version of seek and destroy rules. :thumb:

lightningmetal666 08-18-2005 01:48 PM

Hey has anyone noticed the difference between punk mosh pits and the pits that metal bands like metallica have?

Not advertising punk or anything, but every punk show that I've been to people will help you up if you fall, but at metal shows people don't give a s**t. It seems that if you fall, they're likely to stomp on your head as they make their way to their next victim. IMO.

I have also noticed this and I much prefer being helped up than murdered :).

heavy metal kid 08-18-2005 01:53 PM

i have never been to a punk gig or concert, how come they have mosh pits?punk music is a bit soft.(no bad intention there)

Also:
Does anyone have the complete live version of the Four Horsemen?, all the live version i've heard, don't have the melodic interlude and the solo in it.

I haven't, every pit I've been in, when I've fallen, there was one or two cool guys that helped me up.

Jev 08-18-2005 01:55 PM

In Punk pits people pick me up but in Metal pits fat guys pick on me. :(

There's a venue where I live, and the secuirty guards are 90% 500 pound giant Simoans and sometimes they go into the pits "to calm people down" but when you see metalheads flying around, you know they're just in there to knock people around.

lightningmetal666 08-18-2005 02:10 PM

I'm just saying that most of the metal shows I've been to (local bands that is) people are there to really hurt someone, not to have a good time. (I'm not bi**hing or anything but just making an observation)

I agree. The sound quality is just crap. Not your fault but the recording engineers. The cover itself is O.K. but I prefer the original.

The main difference besides not killing each other is at punk shows they like do this dance in a circle while running into each other, whereas in metal you just slam into the first person you see.

LOL. The singer's voice sounds like he's choking on a d**k. What a crappy voice. The guitar's pretty good though. They stay true to the original but it still needs to have that sweet guitar solo.
