Built To Spill do a really great cover of Cortez The Killer. They turn a soft Neil Young song and turn it into a loud noisy Neil Young song.

Don't get too excited. I left after 15 minutes of them playing the same song with the same dynamics (4 min buildup, 15 sec of good)
