drag dead fleeing Cuba's from the debths of the Gulf of Mexico.

My family had it pretty bad. I guess it's a Southern Chicago thing :(
sounds like a really fun job. :thumb:

My family use to live on the South side then my parents got divorced and we moved up here, and we where living better off on the south side.

Totally off topic, but I just ordered a new t-shirt. http://liquidblue.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/tshirts.detail/cat/rock/subcat/the_doors/CODE/11872/lizard-king-v.html Pretty awesome, in my opinion. I was going to order the Pink Floyd WYWH 25th Anniversary shirt, but it was sold out.

I know some girls like that, who are actually pretty cool except they listen to her and such. I don't mind though, I just kinda laugh and be thankful that I listen to the Allman Brothers instead.
I'm sorry i don't live in the Getto, DN, but way to go braging about how you are poor, keep that up and you can make a living on it.
I don't "brag" about it. I just like the idea that I came from the bottom and that I'm on my way to the top.

I had it really bad, and I use that as fuel to keep me going.

I like that shirt.

Illmatic 03-01-2005 06:28 PM

What exactly is the appeal of tie-dye shirts?

Why do you like clothes you wear?

Illmatic 03-01-2005 06:30 PM
Why do you like clothes you wear?
Because they aren't tie-dye.

Seriously, tie-dye shirts just give off the whole "Look at me, I'm so cool because I use drugs!" vibe, even if it isn't true.

what the appeal of fake faded jeans?

Illmatic 03-01-2005 06:32 PM
what the appeal of fake faded jeans?
I don't see where that came from, because I hate pre-faded jeans as well.

Some tie dyed shirts have really cool images on them.

And baggy sweatshorts and huge white tees give off the "Look at me because I'm gangsta" vibe. I'm not saying you wear those clothes.

I actually just liked the design on the Allman Brothers t-shirt I pointed out.

Illmatic 03-01-2005 06:33 PM

That are almost always available on shirts that are far less tacky than tie-dyed ones.

Well there are some pretty good tie die band shirts and if your a Grateful Dead fan you would be looking forever for a non tie die Dead shirt.

ledpoisoning27 03-01-2005 06:35 PM

why wear any clothes at all, it will just add to your image.

Why even wear a bands name on your shirt then, maybe by whatever the bands is people still might think you use drugs.

Why even tell people you like a certain kind of music, god forbid they might think something of you.

I saw an ad for the DVD release of the Rutles "Can't Buy Me Lunch" today while I was reading the Onion.

Jam2Me 03-01-2005 06:46 PM

Did any of you see American Idol last night?
The guy did a (terrible) rendition of "Whipping Post." I thought it was cool he chose that song, no one can come close to Gregg's voice though. Simon and all them fools were like in awe of his performance...I know it was the song selection though.

I also heard "Sweet Melissa" playing in a commercial a couple times today.
"Sweet Home Alabama" is in a KFC commercial.
"The Weight" is on some insurance or something commercial.

lunch998 03-01-2005 06:48 PM

I never really liked the Care Bears.

Do you mean "Melissa", or is there some other song named "Sweet Melissa"?

:)

There's a kid at my school that always has a tie-dye Dead shirt with the bears on it, and he always looks high.

And he used to have dreads.
What exactly is the appeal of tie-dye shirts?
I think they're pretty, and I enjoy wearing them. I don't care whether or not people get a "stoner" impression of me. All the people who I care about the opinion of aren't going to judge me by the clothes I wear.

I always loved entertaining the thought of a young Robert Plant on American Idol, or Pop Idol since he is from the UK.

PS: My friend Kim(berly) would attempt rape on anyone wearing that Jim Morrison shirt

Dead Bears retard.

And they are an American icon. And I'm not saying that because the Dead use them. They are strongly known as the face you'd see on a stamp of Acid.

Walrus Gumboot 03-01-2005 07:00 PM

I saw a Grateful Dead shirt I really liked in this place in Woodstock, NY (I forget what it was called). It was the only American Beauty one I have yet come across. Too small :upset:

BludgeonySteve 03-01-2005 07:00 PM

I remember somebody on American Idol did Travelin' Band a week or two ago. Was that the same guy?
