Each microphone is pluged into the recorder, and then can be leveled out with the rest of the instrumens.

ridethelightning 11-27-2004 07:40 PM

does it just turn into a cd? or tape? or mp3 file thingy?

Omega Red 11-27-2004 07:41 PM

If you just use one mike you have more or less no control over the relative levels of the instruments. That would be a one track recording. If you want to record them all at once, many mikes are indeed the best way, but I'd recommend DIing where possible, to reduce spill. It's also cheaper. You may want to have the drummer in another room if possible, as they are the worst of all for sonic spill.

janyeno 11-27-2004 08:01 PM

wow man i got hooked on a video game called everquest II... been taking alot of time... along with a job and school... this susk...

I need to drop this game...

Alma 11-27-2004 08:04 PM

i bought a drum kit the other day

Mozzletoffed 11-27-2004 08:08 PM

Yesterday my badn recorded sorta. We planed just doing sound recorder on the computer but instead i got a cheap record/tape/radio player and it records so i found 2 mic and just put them around the room and we all played to cassette..and to my surprise it sounds not so bad as I thought. But i'm not up for buying one of those 8-track things. Arn't those like...1000$??

Fun new thing!

I'm just doodling round on my 6er, and I thought this one had some interesting potential for some multitracking fun further down the line.

...Is there enough room to plug them all in at once?

Wintermute 11-27-2004 08:19 PM

In general you'd do the inputting of mikes and the levelling on the a mixing desk, and route that into a recorder, I would have thought.

cliffburtonrules 11-27-2004 08:46 PM

A little off topic:

I just came back from the Spongebob movie. It was pretty good but not up to my expectations. Haha David Hasselhoff was great though...

moxshyfter 11-27-2004 08:48 PM

Incredibles is **** funny! I recommend it highly!

Foxfire 11-27-2004 08:49 PM

Great movie.

cliffburtonrules 11-27-2004 08:49 PM
Great movie.
Which one?

Foxfire 11-27-2004 08:55 PM

Incredibles. Ending of Spongebob irritated me EXCEPT that solo.

What a great solo.

PaulSimonon 11-27-2004 08:55 PM

By the way, If I did want to biamp it, could I only use a power amp for the second amp?

cliffburtonrules 11-27-2004 08:56 PM

Inssane solo.

That's a great song... both the real one and the one where he "fixed" the lyrics.

YOUR A GOOFY GOOBER!!!!!!

nisakss 11-27-2004 09:03 PM

Yeah, I want to see the Incredibles, it looks like a cool movis.

On the other hand, I've never really liked spongebob.....

I might buy my brother that soundtrack some day just so I can keep hearing that solo over and over again.

moxshyfter 11-27-2004 09:06 PM

Debes ver Incredibles Nisa! Vale la pena! :)

cliffburtonrules 11-27-2004 09:06 PM

How can you not like Spongebob?

I admit the movie wasn't great but the show is..... I'm watching it right now come to think of it.

Anyways, how can I earn $180 US the fastest way possible? I can't get a job by law, and I can mow the lawn only so many times. Anything?

cliffburtonrules 11-27-2004 09:07 PM
I might buy my brother that soundtrack some day just so I can keep hearing that solo over and over again.
You know that's a real song right?

I think it's by Twisted Sister (the real one) I don't know the name of it but it's a rockin song.

moxshyfter 11-27-2004 09:16 PM

.......

PaulSimonon 11-27-2004 09:17 PM

I need some $$ ideas too.

Man, I played the ONLY Fender I've ever felt compelled to buy. Sadly, I'll never own it, it's way above my personal 300$ limit...
