You are a horrible gimmick.
You are a horrible gimmick.
Uh I'm not a gimmick. |
That is why you are horrible.
|
You should write a pearable based on this event.
|
Maybe I will
|
I'll write a pearody
|
These cheap puns are unpearable
Baseball, College football, and Formula1 are my big three. NFL and NASCAR are alright if that's all there is. I hate college and NBA basketball, but going to the college games is fun (and only $2.00). Other sports I can't really say enough.
Nascar is like the shittest raceing ever. they only ever turn left! wtf is with small circular courses. i have to say you americans come up with some stupid **** but nascar takes the cake. Is it because rednecks are too stupid to comprehend turns in two directions? |

I love how people who talk **** about NASCAR act like that's the only kind of racing sport in which the competitors race in a circle.
|
the problem with Nascar racing I have is that it is such a ridiculously pointless waste of gas. its just really really wasteful.
|
lol
|
yeah agreed
good posting |

Ummm well apart from indy which is also gay (its like formula 1 but full of fail and poverty) i have never seen a circular course being raced on. In Australia and europe and asia if a course designer made a circular track he would be laughed out of the business. |
What about horse racing?
|

You might as well just use a giant electric slot car track and save a lot of money that way. @Waldo: horse racing is boring and gay |
What about gimp racing?
|
What about gimp racing?
Now that's entertainment! |
like man versus beast
fuck I miss that show |
Hahaha, yeah. The only one I remember was the midgets vs. the elephant where they had to pull that 757.
|
red bull air race is awesome. i saw it in london last year.
|
What about horse racing?
$$$$$$ By that I mean you can lose massive amounts of money on it, not that your statement was fundamentally 'on the money' to coin a popular phrase. |
Hahaha, yeah. The only one I remember was the midgets vs. the elephant where they had to pull that 757.
they did a midget versus camel relay race and one of the midgets tripped and so the camels won  what a terrible show  |
Hahahaha. It shows how respectful we are to those less fortunate!
|
hahahaha yeah good old Fox and they're ridiculous reality tv
|
they shoulda made them race donkeys tbh
I appreciate baseball for the strategy
hahahahaha there is like no strategy in baseball
I don't see how I'm wrong. The NBA is 80% offense and 20% defense right now.
for one the NBA isn't the best representation of basketball--in the NBA the players are so talented that most strategies don't matter and it basically boils down to a 1-on-1 game almost every time down the court. for another you're not even right there (most of the NBA comes down to defense; just about every NBA player can hit an open jump shot so the game comes down to trying to deny the other team of open jumpers, ie, defense) |
there is like no strategy in baseball
I don't know why baseball fans think there's more strategy than any other sport. My theory is that they only consider bowling as the competition. |
Illmatic I replied to your post in the NBA thread but it might not make any sense. I was heavily medicated at the time.
|
I really dont think there's strategy in baseball beyond "hit it here so he can run there".
|
There is lots of hitting strategy and and pitching strategies, but I don't find baseball that exciting.
|
I think there's a difference between being ignorant about something and just being stupid.
|
You can't be serious.
there's almost no strategy in baseball. you never think beyond the current pitch. there are few sports that rely on sheer guessing/luck as much as baseball does. you can't really develop a "strategy" in baseball (that's why managers in baseball are worthless compared to coaches in other sports). what kind of strategy could there be in baseball? |
The one thing I dont like about baseball is that if you take a player out he stays out for the game. Unless they changed that.
I mean there is strategy regarding who you're pitching against and how they hit, who's in the bullpen to save or close-out, etcetc, but i mean still. |
hahahahaha

I know that the NBA isn't the best representation but you were reffering to that in your previous post. I never said that defense wasn't important. I'm just saying that there are too many offensively dominant players. What's the first thing people notice when they see the stats of a player? Their points.
what kind of strategy could there be in baseball?
Suicide squeez, when to change pitchers, hit and run, what pitch to throw, drag bunting. But that's just off the top of my head |
I dont think so at all. I look at how they contribute. Could be points. Could be rebounds. To say it's offensively minded is ridiculous. Defence wins games in every sport. Offense is only the focus if you're someone like Mike D'Antoni, who basically just has his team sprint the whole game and hopes guys like Amare and Marion can make stops. |
There is a TON of strategy in baseball.
|
I dont think so at all.

But all of that stuff is incredibly easy to figure out. There's never a moment in baseball where you go "OMGZ WHAT AN AMAZING STRATEGY I NEVER SAW THAT COMING!"
|
I'm not saying it doesn't. I just find in the NBA the offensive players are recognized way more.
Well the offensive superstars bring i the fans and the money but that doesn't mean they're "recognized" more. It depends on how youre looking at it. From the outside, sure, you'll recognize Allen Iverson over Marcus Camby. But a lot of fans know that Camby is the glue of the Nuggets.
But all of that stuff is incredibly easy to figure out. There's never a moment in baseball where you go "OMGZ WHAT AN AMAZING STRATEGY I NEVER SAW THAT COMING!"
Exactly. Hitting it to the part of the field that isn't being well covered is more common sense than strategy. |
