Nope, no way. [i]Scenes...[/i] is by far and away the best they have, and will, ever do. That album is untouchable as far as DT is concerned.

[i]TOT[/i] is far to heavy and shred based to be a decent DT album for me.

The best DT starter album is most definietly [i]Scenes From A Memory[/i].

It drags too much in the middle.

Images and words is better.

I+W > ToT > SFAM > ACoS > Octavarium > Awake

I used ot have 6DoIT but i deleted it because it bored me, i don't think i gave it a big enough chance.

Live at Budokan is easily their best CD. Well, except for the lack of I&W coverage...

I don't really like Dream Theater, not sure why though, probably the exact same reason as everyone else repeats over and over again. I'll listen to it occasionally though, I don't hate it or anything.

The vocalist sounds clean-shaven to me... like he barely made it through puberty. :p He's not bad though.

He is, there is no need to hide it.

He's nothing special, at points I almost like his vocals so that makes him not bad I guess. It's not as if he sounds like someone drowning in a mudbath whilst being eaten by vultures. He could do with a deeper voice and some more feeling like.

edit: I hear Labrie actually damaged his voice a while ago, which may be one reason why his voice is a bit off.

Yeah they are called Liquid Tension Experiment, but I have yet to check out there stuff. Labrie on Awake is just the worst I've ever heard, caught in a trap-give me a fuc[SIZE=4]king[/SIZE] break. I think he wrote that one too...Labrie hating ++

I only have Scenes From A Memory and half of Train Of Thought. Never cared enough to get any more really.

Labrie can sing incredbly well, he just doesn't have the most pleasant vioce ever.

Personally, I quite like it.

I thought i would quote that to be humerous/annoying.

He only uses the top 1.5 octaves when he sings, hence why people hate him.

Jess - Only ToT and SFAM?...you got off pretty easy, his vocals are bearable on both albums. Awake and Octavarium are when he really sucks.
