My friend went to buy a costume at Party City once. Or was that Party America? He thought it looked cool, but only because he was going through some Donnie Darko fanboy stage and wanted to be like him in every way possible. I thought it looked like ****.
I decided I don't like ska anymore.
Yeah, I don't like ska either.
The closest genre that I actually do like is dub..but that isn't anywhere near as..happy.

Clunge 05-06-2006 08:15 AM

Ergh, music coursework + presentation to be done for monday :(.

dei 05-06-2006 08:17 AM

Someone said Keira Knightley and breasts.

Hook it up with a link.

I thought that said 'Hook it up with a kink.'.
That still works. :p

dei 05-06-2006 08:40 AM

It's sad that anyone would put me, or anyone else, on their ignore list. That shows you care too much about the interwebs.

That was I. Go rent Domino you slack fuck. Well worth it.

And on the topic of ska; the only semi-ska band I like is Reel Big Fish.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 05-06-2006 08:43 AM

I don't really get ignore lists on forums. I get blocking people on MSN and stuff, where it's instant and makes noise and crap, but on a forum, can't you just scroll past their posts? If it says 'This message is hidden because dei is on your ignore list.' it still says something, and wouldn't be any different if you just scrolled past it.

dei 05-06-2006 08:48 AM

They refuse to fall victim to my douche-baggery.

Little Man being Erased 05-06-2006 08:53 AM

Frank Sinatra is the man.

dei 05-06-2006 08:58 AM

Frank Sinatra brought us anal sex.

Little Man being Erased 05-06-2006 09:05 AM

And where would we be without anal sex?

I Was A Kaleidoscope 05-06-2006 09:10 AM
And where would we be without anal sex?
Somewhere that isn't an anal cavity?

EDIT: Oh my god, my postcount is 1337. I'm never posting again. :p

Little Man being Erased 05-06-2006 09:18 AM

But you did already. Fag.

Glitterati 05-06-2006 09:24 AM

Frank Sinatra was cool. Especially My Way.

Yeah, dub is cool...pretty much the only ska I listen to now is The Specials. I'm getting back into reggae too, actually.

dei 05-06-2006 09:34 AM

I really hate ska. My friend used to drag me along to his ska shows, and they were all bad experiences. I walked out on one and sat down in Baja Fresh for two hours, talking about the Iliad and the Odyssey with another friend who didn't want to be there.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 05-06-2006 09:38 AM
But you did already. Fag.
Damn it. :(
Damn Mogwai and their 1337 ruiningness.

dei 05-06-2006 09:40 AM

Everybody's saying that I'm not so cool, so I'm going back to charm school, charm school.

Little Man being Erased 05-06-2006 09:43 AM

Yeah charm it up dei. I always said I like you, right from the start.

Don't be afraid, be a friend.

ATM 05-06-2006 09:50 AM

I like you 15% of the time, which is better then nothing right?

The Great Decay 05-06-2006 11:11 AM

So in the month of June I could go see: Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Bright Eyes and Mogwai.

Zappa 05-06-2006 11:16 AM

Or you could just go to sleep for free.

That really is just a joke, because I quite like Radiohead and Mogwai.

ignore lists are for when simply scrolling past the posts is no longer a healthy option. although really, i use it more often when someone posts something like "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF" which breaks the tables horizontally and I don't want to have to scroll past it.

or if theyre a douche :)

pixiesfanyo 05-06-2006 11:52 AM

Well, put someone on your ignore list, and you'll see why it's better than having to often scroll over annoying inflammatory posts. Because even if you scroll over the post, you'll probably still catch the gist of it just from a few words that stand out. And if the gists those posts usually entail pointless drivel, I feel it's logical to utilize the ignore function.
Have any of you seen "The Last Days"? If so, how was it?
I loved Last Days. It's a slowly paced film with a remarkable narrative. Gus Van Sant is one of my favorite filmmakers; Last Days is terrific.

The slow-paced narrative worked a lot better in Elephant, imho.

I'm hoping the video store by my house has it.
