Freeway Jam is awesome. My dad tought me the bass line so he could show off. Actually, everything he shows me is so he can show off.

I took Lipscomb (Lipscomb!) and went from 9-16 to 21-8 and an NCAA Tourney appearance, then took the job at Fresno State and was 12-1 and ranked #19. That bastard.

Illmatic 02-17-2005 09:30 PM
Bastard is an understatement.

You should remove your memory card every time you leave.
Well, it's on an XBox (his XBox, actually), so I have no memory cards and little leverage in the argument.

I'm savin' it for tomorrow. Plus, it's not like we haven't done that already.

Also, she came right out and told me that she wanted me to meet her family, and I'd be lying if I didn't immediately begin to panic.

I know I've heard that before.
 Good luck with that.
:upset: She's a NorCal girl, so her family is either hippies or rich yuppies, which is lose-lose for me.

Me = half-black guy born in the slums in the Southside of Chicago and raised in a middle-class part of Boston

Do you really think rich white folks will take too kindly to that?

And hippies just plain annoy me, so I'm bound to go off at any time.

Illmatic 02-17-2005 09:46 PM
"You don't have a leg to stand on, Stumpy" is a quote from Daria.

Daria!

There's a blast from the past.

Johnny B. Good 02-17-2005 09:46 PM

old MTV was classic television

BoboTheRagingHobo3 02-17-2005 09:47 PM

GG. I get banned for having an opinion on people posting inane comments in every thread(Toozey, Dargon), but I get banned for it. Yet the inane comments keep a coming.

If this is how it's going to be, down with these mods.
Beavis and Butt-head, Daria, there was this other animated show that was old school but I forget the name of it... the only thing I remember is that its theme song was "The Motivation Proclamation" by Good Charlotte. "Transfers?" That doesn't sound right...

You need to stop putting emphasis on race. Just go for it.

:thumb:

Plus, what if they're not rich, nor hippies, but gold miners?

I wish my parents were gold miners :(

Well, I don't like it, but race plays a pretty big role. Not a lot of white families like their daughter going out with a black guy.

Illmatic 02-17-2005 10:01 PM

I know, but like I said, some people DO have racial prejudices whether we want to admit it or not. That won't effect how I act, but I may be at a disadvantage from the start. I think you may be right though, maybe she does think they'll like me.

If she has me meet her family, I get to have her meet mine, and that's a good thing (we're a close, tight-knit family and we're all pretty nice...a result of being from the Midwest).

Illmatic 02-17-2005 10:04 PM

What part of the South side were you from? I was originally from a cheap part of Oak Lawn. Anywhere near?
