Lol, dorset

Ethan. 03-27-2007 02:48 PM

At my school we can only miss 7 days without going through a shitload of trouble getting the absenses excused. Or we fail the class. That only leaves me like 3 days to skip.

And in 1.5 hour classes, missing 15 minutes counts absent.
WTF?

You probably won't need near 60 gigs... Thats the size a lot of computers are. And if the sound quality sucks, it's probably not even going to be that big of a file.

maniac0796 03-27-2007 02:50 PM

Meh. My schools petty

I'm not allowed a beard
No odd socks
I can't have red shoelaces

TimJim 03-27-2007 02:51 PM

i have pink and black shoelaces :D

The Ska Man 03-27-2007 02:52 PM
BUT...you might want to have a pretty high gig iPod for recording..
His was a 60.
/Flaw in my plan.

I have a four gig, and it's full =[.

Maniac, what are they scared of? That the skins still use that whole laces define you thing?

Ethan. 03-27-2007 02:53 PM

I'm not allowed to have holes in my pants, reguardless of where they are located. I mean I'm not big on the whole fashion trend about wearing pants with holes, but we aren't allowed to wear holes even if they are under our knees. That is rediculous; I can get written up for that and go take my pants off and expose MY WHOLE SHIN (OH MY GAWD!) with tthe gym shorts I have under them and they are perfectly fine with it.

TimJim 03-27-2007 02:53 PM

i have a one gig :(

im getting a U2 edition 30G for my B'day

its red and black, so me likey

Drum Phil 03-27-2007 02:53 PM

Homosexual AND ginger? Jesus.

At my school i wasnt allowed ANYTHING not uniform. Hair had to be a fair length, no jewlerry, no piercings, no trainers.

So of course i delighted in wearing offensive hoodies, shaving my hair into a mohawk and wearing what the **** i liked.

Sunshine 03-27-2007 02:53 PM

My school has pretty lax dresscodes.
That I break anyway.
Because I believe the "fingertip-length skirt rule" is insanely unfair.
Because I have stupidly long arms and fingers like a freakin' monkey, while other girls have these stubby-*** T-Rex arms and sausage fingers.
I always wondered what the rule for a chick with no arms was.

And after one absense, they call your parents.
After 10 unexcused, you get suspended or expelled or something.
Skipping is stupidly hard when they call your parents =/

Ethan. 03-27-2007 02:56 PM
Skipping is stupidly hard when they call your parents =/
Yeah they have an automated machin-something-whatever that calls and tells parents when you are absent from one or more period... But you can just give them your cell phone # as your home number. A couple of my friends did it.

Sunshine 03-27-2007 02:57 PM

Haha, they *just* started the automated thing.
But it's kind of too late to change my number, and I think here your parents have to do it.
Anyway, they call your parents at work before they call at home, sooo..
Lol, dorset
Hahaha, you really hate this place don't you. I still don't see whats wrong with it, apart from the fact that it's full of clubbing half-wit scumbags who think they own the place.

Drum Phil 03-27-2007 03:00 PM

Sounds like me..... i mean teesside

Pleaseme 03-27-2007 03:01 PM

And homeless people. I almost got pissed on by one the other day, he just had his nob out in the middle of a subway. <3 Bournemouth

TTTSNB 03-27-2007 03:01 PM

^ That's lame Sunshine...I can understand parents wanting their kids to do well in school, but missing a day or two of school is really not a big deal at all.

Drum Phil 03-27-2007 03:03 PM

We have homeless folks who drive mercedes'

:) Its funny watching people give them food.

Sunshine 03-27-2007 03:03 PM

I'm actually surprised she let me stay home today.
I mean.
I didn't have a temperature of 104, nor was I puking.
Both of these are standard requirements for missing school.
Needless to say, I've never missed, except when my mom was deployed to Afghanistan in the winter and me and my dad skipped Fridays to go snowboarding...but that was back in Japan.

TTTSNB 03-27-2007 03:05 PM

Yeah...I don't really get that sort of attitude personally.

Sunshine 03-27-2007 03:05 PM

It's one of those "Your grampa never let me stay home sick so you're not going to either" sort of things.
At least I managed one day before I graduated.

Drum Phil 03-27-2007 03:06 PM

Will, how come half the tension rods are missing from your kit?

maniac0796 03-27-2007 03:06 PM

Seriously, after living in east Devon for 16 years, i can firmly say Dorset is ****.

You wanna come to lyme regis on saturday night and see my band play? Or taunton on thursday?

Pleaseme 03-27-2007 03:19 PM

Where the hell is Lyme Regis anyway? I'm not a geography person. Seriously I'd be up for it but I'm going back home on the friday night, having finished my last exam on friday. But there could well be a classic MX meet in the making..

Quinto 03-27-2007 03:27 PM

im about to buy weed for the first time

Drum Phil 03-27-2007 03:27 PM

Ive been becoming interested in a lot of electronic genres lately.

Darkwave, Industrial, EBM etc

Sunshine 03-27-2007 03:27 PM

Hard House FTW.

Drum Phil 03-27-2007 03:30 PM

Blah, not that bollocks.

Neurotic fish, VNV Nation, Technoir, Chaos Engine, Deathboy, Apoptygma Bezerker, Ultraviolence

Corkofski 03-27-2007 03:30 PM
im about to buy weed for the first time

im about to buy weed for the first time
be careful

What is a good (or few) hard house albums sunshine?

Pleaseme 03-27-2007 03:31 PM

I'm getting into Phych-trance at the moment, it's really cool.

What's Darkwave?

And yeah, be careful about buying weed. Is it from a good friend?

Sunshine 03-27-2007 03:31 PM

Silly people buying weed.
You just make friends who'll let you smoke their weed...for free!
[AZ is full of 'em].

Psssh.
VNV nation is good, I'll give you that.
But hard house =/= bollocks, or any other Brittish insult you might attatch to the genre.

Drum Phil 03-27-2007 03:34 PM

Darkwave, i cant really define. It falls in closely with EBM (Electro-Body-Music)

Sunshine 03-27-2007 03:44 PM

Hmm...hard to say, really.
Generally "house blend" CDs are nice
DJ Venom = guy to look for
Bad Boy Bill = decent
[older] DJ Irene = good, but trance-y at the end [if you're into that, though, very cool]

And if those arn't hard enough, try Grindcore and Gabber and Goregrind music ^-^

Corkofski 03-27-2007 03:45 PM

this is what i've done, up to now. but i feel guilty...

and jos, im getting it off a mate i trust, should be fine...

Sunshine 03-27-2007 03:46 PM

Fine.
Get one of said friends to buy you some, pay him, and you're good.
Safer than looking for your own hookups.

Corkofski 03-27-2007 03:47 PM

thats the plan...

Drum Phil 03-27-2007 03:48 PM

Grindcore is an offshoot of punk that sounds similar to metal.

Gabba can be decent.

Anyone interested in hearing some EBM, Clicky Clicky:

http://download.yousendit.com/AC25C9B96184D2B2

EBM, Industrial etc are the "dark side" of electronic music apparently. They tend to differ hugely in the lyrics.

The Ska Man 03-27-2007 03:51 PM

Grindcore's aight.

Honestly I don't know... I thoroughly checked it out before I bought it, looked fine.
