im not sure but he had to leave like health class or something because his religion beliefs were that God is the only thing that can heal......am i atleast on the right track?...
|
I always had him pegged as an atheist/agnostic myself, but I don't really know
|
yeah but he has a cross as a tatoo but who knows what that means.
Orion, Hello? come on that song kicks A$$. Anyone have PREDICTIONS ON HOW THIER NEXT CD WILL SOUND???
REPLY!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!
Probably better than St. Anger, worse than Load-Reload |
i think most of it will be not so good, but there will be one very good super amazing mindblowwing song!!!
|
I think better than St. & Load-Reload, but worse than Black Album. Probably more melodic and less nu-metal (we hope).
HerooftheDay: James Hetfield was born and raised a Christian Scientist. Don't let the name fool ya it's got nothin to do with science. Christian Scientists reject modern medicine as they believe in god's power to heal. "The God That Failed" is about James mother, who died when James was about 17 (the same time James started drinking heavily). She had cancer and refused treatment because of her religion. James spent most of his time after that as an athiest/agnostic because he felt disullusioned at his religion. "Until it Sleeps" is also about James dealings with Christian Science. When entered rehab for his drinking problems, he was reintroduced to Christianity, as the 12-step program places heavy emphasis on this. He's probably not a Christian scientist anymore, but more likely a Baptist/Methodist or something like that. |
very interesting
|
has anyone heard hero of the day or the symphony accompanied no leaf clover? I dont think i've ever heard either on the radio or anyone even mention them. anyone care to comment?
|
I've heard hero of the day is not a bad song , yeah i've heard no leaf clover actually i havent heard it without the symphony i know they played it some concerts
anyway would anyone agree that metallica should've released - human in st anger and it would've been the best song in that album easily |
Very true
*Imagines a Metallica/Megadeth joint tour*
that will only happen if megadeth make a new metal cd -> i don't think that megadeth will make a new metal cd -> metallica will never tour with megadeath -> why do i show off when i post a link to a metallica site? ^^^ yeah  but maybe that's reason why it isn't there :) |
wasn't les claypool their bassist for a while?
|
i can't find it on soulseek :p
postcount +1
Are you gonna keep that account? |
i must thank silencenomore...thank u for clearing that up for me! :thumb:

what member of Metallica couldnt they afford to lose....i think they cant lose Lars.in one of the SKOM movie preview, lars said he was prepared for the worse and he wouldnt be surprised if hetfeild quite(note that this was two years ago when james was in rehab)..so maybe metallica could go on with metallica without james(but thats just too hard to imagine).but i really think the band would break up if Lars were to leave. So who do u think they cant lose in the band?
not they any of the members want to leave.**knock on wood** |
It seems to me that plenty have wanted to leave in the past
|
i thought theyve all wanted to leave, and i think that metallica wouldnt be metallica anymore if any of them left
|
Are you gonna keep that account?
yeah :) ^^^ they can't lose james, because without him metallica wouldn't be metallica anymore. |
Good to have you back squirrel
Cheers bruv' good to be back :) From a while back - the best outro for me it the Call of Ktulu. It just hits me everytime, the chords picked slower and slower and on hte last chord how he strums it one last time then the drums begin to roll and the tension builds the wham!, the distortion kicks back in the all of a sudden theres that quick slide and it's all over... It's just such a contrast, its so effective. |
hetfeild and ulrich..come on i mean they made the band they couldnt leave. It would suck though if they lost kirk, but if they did they can always go and get dave mustain  and theyve always gotten a new bass player<<thats pretty obvious. Yeah, metallica cant live without james and lars
|
I hope if one of Kirk, Lars or James left that they'd disband. It just wouldn't be right having anyone but them in.
|
Yeah, metallica cant live without james and lars
jame OR lars****** |
Or Kirk, it wouldn't be Metallica otherwise.
I'm getting sad about sometime in the future when Metallica release their disbanding statement :( |
where did "the ecstacy of gold" come from?i know theyve had that for a verrryyy loonngg time. but did they wright it?i would think so
|
No they didnt write it, its from *The Good, the Bad and the Ugly*, its written by Ennio Morichone ( i think thats the spelling ). He did a lot of spaggheti western music and won lots of awards for his work.
|
To me James is the face of the band. No one would care about Rob beacuse the onle album he did was aparently the 'worst one ever' accorinding to many fans.
|
Rob hasn't written anything with Metallica you know..
|

Rob seems like a better and more active bass player than Newsted, but not as good as Burton was. On the St. Anger DVD Rob had a pretty good grove with the band, and I'll think he'll do good for Metallica's next album :) . |
