That didn't sound too bad. Drums were awesome.

It sounded pretty similar to something off Divine Intervention.
Yeah that's what i thought! It reminds me of Dittohead.

eug008 06-04-2006 06:29 AM

Sorry for being an idiot but what do you press to play it?

AA-12 06-04-2006 06:39 AM

The little button.

[Nightbreak] 06-04-2006 07:13 AM

Awesome, I thought that was way better than DI sorta stuff. Here's hoping it sounds like all the classic (i.e. Lombardo) albums. The song clip shows some promise.

I doubt it will.

AA-12 06-04-2006 07:29 AM

I bet you all my left nut that it'll be classic Slayer.

Apocalyptic Raids 06-04-2006 07:31 AM

nah

It will be somewhat like DI at best.

SimonCore 06-04-2006 08:10 AM

^I thought your attitude was positive for this album?

Apocalyptic Raids 06-04-2006 08:11 AM

Yeah, but you have to remember all we've heard is 40 seconds of one song.

SimonCore 06-04-2006 08:32 AM

Yeah i suppose. But normally Slayer normally only have one type of vocals on a album. So on this one we've heard kinda clean yet harsh vocals, so that's what it'll probably be for all of the songs.

Bazarov 06-04-2006 08:36 AM

Thanks for the link. So yeah, I was liking what I was hearing, but still not really a fan of the guitar tone.

SimonCore 06-04-2006 09:00 AM

Yeah in GHUA the tone suited the songs. But Cult sounds like it would be really very good in just 1/2 step.

One of a Kind 06-04-2006 09:59 AM
Yeah, try drop B.
No. All of the songs on GHUA are in Drop-D tuned down half a step. I was talking about Kerry King in general. For the most part he sucks, though he has some gems. Jeff has written a good 90%, if not more, of the classic stuff.

Neoteric 06-04-2006 10:40 AM

I guess this thread will thrive in two days.

When is the damn leak gonna come out...

eug008 06-04-2006 04:36 PM

Finnnally got the sample to work, it's not as bad as i thought

Bazarov 06-04-2006 05:50 PM

Jeff has said that GHUA was in B tuning.....

I wish they'd just stay in Eb...

superflyjojo 06-04-2006 09:18 PM

Some songs on GHUA are in Drop D half step down (Disciple, God Send Death) and some are in Drop B (Payback)

Nostalgia 06-04-2006 11:18 PM

Meh, I guess it wasn't too bad. About 15 seconds into the song, I started liking it more. I don't dig the vocals though.

FatalEnergy 06-05-2006 12:33 AM

I'm still having trouble getting the sample to work. The damn thing just needs to leak already

Apocalyptic Raids 06-05-2006 12:56 AM

Check the article on blabbermouth, Bret. It has the video which is easier to get working.

eug008 06-05-2006 12:57 AM

Its coming out tommorrow so a torrent better be up (Can't buy in Australia)

Nostalgia 06-05-2006 12:58 AM

Apocalyptic Raids 06-05-2006 12:59 AM

eug008 06-05-2006 12:59 AM
