whats a good way to make a stencil if u dont have a printer?
Just do it freehand.

Skidmark Steve 09-26-2005 02:11 PM

im sure this has been asked several times in here. but how do you make your own t-shirts? like if i were to make a design on the computer how would i get it onto a t-shirt. please include materials, step by step process...

i cant afford real t-shirts.... :upset:

DaveToopes 09-26-2005 02:28 PM

Would you want to paint the shirts, or use an iron-on design?

Skidmark Steve 09-26-2005 02:33 PM

iron on

DaveToopes 09-26-2005 02:46 PM

Hmm, I've never done iron on, only paint.
iron on
Iron ons are easy as f'uck. You can get them at Wal Mart (yes, f'ucking Wal Mart, I could care less how punX you are) 6 for 7 dollars, and you print it onto, but you have to print it off backwards, with irfan view.

You can buy a "Set" from most Arts and Crafts store, It comes with the iron on paper, and a program. Its alot of fun, I made a bunch shirts for a friends band useing this.. but i cant recall how much it cost.

You can also go to Michaels or any other craft supply store or even an office supply store to get the same thing and not support Wal Mart
how do you print it off backwards? and can you print that special paper on any printer?
Most come with a program that will reverse the image for you, and any printer should be able to use the paper, as long as its not really thick, which they usually aren't.

Flagjacket 09-26-2005 04:24 PM

Or like, you know, use MS Paint to flip the image...

skankthenspank 09-26-2005 04:50 PM

Skidmark Steve 09-26-2005 04:55 PM

That looks awsome, my t-shirts dont turn out as well.

Anarcho Poser 09-27-2005 05:40 PM

Is it more punx to make a shirt, or to support a local mom 'n' pop t-shirt company?

mole 09-27-2005 05:45 PM

its punx to steal from a big store, then sell it to the small store, then buy it back, then make it.

skankthenspank 09-27-2005 06:16 PM

your right! that is soooooo punx!

Small privately owned businesses do not have to be called 'mom and pop' stores!

Is dental floss a good substitute for thread? I've heard it's really strong.
