We may have found someone. He gonna play for several hours with us tomm. Were all really excited about this guy, he has about 25 years of experience and has the same goals we do, make money. I'll know more tomm. night.
Awesome, he has played guitar longer than I've been alive, sounds like a sweet deal.

SonorKen 11-04-2004 10:37 PM

yea, we are all REALLY excited about this guy, he plays keys and we have a Korg Triton that is acting as a desk behind my drums right now plus he has a killer voice. We have alot to offer him too, he can make some SERIOUS cash his first month with the band with all the events and stuff we have booked. We getting an insane amount of cash for New Years eve which he will fall right into. Plus we have all our own gear, PA, effect racks, light shows, 25K drum kit, tandem axle trailer to move stuff, killer studio to practice in, sound engineer, light and effect engineer and an equipment/drum tech..

We have alot to offer so were being kinda picky, this is one of the best bands I have ever been in, we all get along great and have a blast when we play, its truely what music should be about.

Permanent Solution 11-04-2004 10:39 PM

Sounds like a sweet deal, and really professional, go get signed and make even more money, I will buy your CD :p

*wishes he had things that together*

SonorKen 11-04-2004 10:45 PM

haha this band is quite a while from making a cd. Another project I am working on, which is insanely cool, kinda like a Dave Matthews Band deal, might get its stuff together soon and cut a cd. We worked up a bunch of the music but the guy behind it is a lawyer in Kentucky and owns a law firm. He became really busy and put the project on the back burner. The music is great and I have free reign to do whatever I want pretty much.

Permanent Solution 11-04-2004 10:48 PM

Hahaha, if you are gigging I don't know how far you are from making a CD, I am making a CD, and I am the only musician in my band heh...but I am pretty lame. What do you do for a profession then? I also thought you guys were in WV, no? I hope I get enough time to do a band with my profession, which is still undecided haha.

Riva 11-04-2004 10:52 PM

Yeah, sounds like an awesome deal, SFK. Wish I could get my band going the way you guys have. It'd be awesome to have a member of a major band as a mod on the forums.

Man, I love the beach. Went there this morning, had a blast.

SonorKen 11-04-2004 10:59 PM

Well we gig alot but its all cover music. I have actually thought about writing a book on how to create a band to make decent money playing. The system we use will work anywhere. We basically just have a huge song list and put together set lists according to whatever crowd we play for. Every show we play we get more shows, it kinda snowballs.

And Im with ya on the beach Riva, its sweet. I love any kinda water, cept swamp, Id love to live at the beach, on a lake, or near a stream.

Oh, and we are based in WV.

I went to school this morning, jerk :(

Writing a book would be awesome SFK...just as long as you distribute free copies to cool mxers like me, right ;)

SonorKen 11-04-2004 11:03 PM

haha yea, Id pass out some copies. Id actually wanna sell it on EBAY, not publish it. Just sell the information in an email. People do that and make a ton of cash.

Riva 11-04-2004 11:04 PM

I have every Friday off from uni! I have to work this afternoon though. :(

That'd probably sell pretty well (the book I mean).

Permanent Solution 11-04-2004 11:11 PM

Haha, Friday in Australia...I have to do community service tommorrow :(

But that is true, or even putting it on CD...that does sell pretty well online, I see stuff like that all the time.

Riva 11-04-2004 11:15 PM

 What laws have you been breaking, zepfan!?!

Bartender 11-04-2004 11:22 PM

Hey there, ho there.

Bartender 11-04-2004 11:43 PM

Well that didn't last long.

Er. What's up?

Permanent Solution 11-04-2004 11:44 PM

Lameness...the only plusses tonight were mango sorbet and listening to music loudly...

Riva 11-04-2004 11:46 PM

Your post count.

Ba-boom chink.

Nah, I'm going to work in approx. 5 minutes. Good timing, mate.

Here is a thought. You know how you can denote an inhabitant of a city by adding "-ite" to the end of the city name? E.g. Melbournite, Muscovite. Well, following this logic, what would you call a person living in Paris?

Bartender 11-04-2004 11:47 PM

What sort of music?

Just realised I have no idea what kind of music you like.

Hah, nice. More ammunition against the French, thanks.

Permanent Solution 11-04-2004 11:50 PM

Music I like...ummm...I have over 900 artists on my playlist...Classic Rock/Punk/Pop-Punk/Ska/Classical/Alternative/Metal/Grunge/Indie...etc....

Bartender 11-04-2004 11:52 PM

Oh good.

Permanent Solution 11-04-2004 11:59 PM

Yes, I like to keep myself musically open. I will not listen to pop (meaning singing only) or modern country, but everything else I will at least listen to a little bit of, although I am not as open-minded about rap as I should be perhaps.

SonorKen 11-05-2004 07:54 AM

Paranoidd 11-05-2004 08:13 AM

It's morning, that's for sure.

Not too good though.

SonorKen 11-05-2004 09:38 AM

Oh, and to put an end to the age old question, what came first, the chicken or the egg.

Bacteria and evolution came first...........duh....

We are going to Hooters tonight, and celebrating our half-assed rube project!
We are going to Hooters tonight, and celebrating our half-assed rube project!
Hooters, here's what ya need to order, buffalo shrimp (hot), a nice ice cold bud draft, and a buffalo chicken sandwich with provolone cheese and blue cheese dressing with potato salad on the side!!

gmoneyguy 11-05-2004 09:43 AM

I was thinking about getting some wings, but if I was 21 I would definetly get some bud.

LordDargon 11-05-2004 10:01 AM

parisite joke, got another one

If a piano player is a pianist, and a flower seller is a florist, what is a race car driver?

Paranoidd 11-05-2004 10:18 AM

Hooters wings are real good.

SFK, that stuff sounds excellent, and I'd eat it if it wouldn't put me in the hospital.

gmoneyguy 11-05-2004 10:33 AM

I'm wondering if there is some type of surgery that repairs an ulcer.

SonorKen 11-05-2004 10:43 AM

Yea, they can surgically repair ulcers....

Paranoidd 11-05-2004 10:46 AM

Not mine.

SonorKen 11-05-2004 10:52 AM

Why not? Ya have a perforated ulcer? If so, I really feel sorry for ya, I have a friend who has one and he is miserable every time he eats, he lost about 80 pounds, can't put weight on and drinks Ensure to get vitamins......

Paranoidd 11-05-2004 11:05 AM

Mine is stress related.

I've had two sets of x-rays and ultrasounds, and gone through different types of medication (Nexium, Losec (which my father took when he had stomach cancer) and pantoloc). Basically, any time I get upset, I get excruciating pain in my stomach, or I vomit, and I'll get diarrhea. Fun.

Pretty much anything I eat hurts, and I had to cut down on my booze considerably (I pretty much used to be an alcoholic).

Basically, I've been told there is nothing further I can do, except for medication that is so strong, it will make me grow breasts. I'm not too much into that idea.

In short, I'm screwed. My honest prediction is that I will die within the next 10 years. Not that I really want to, but that's just the logical progression I see. I'm 21, and I've had this thing for two years, and it keeps getting worse.

LordDargon 11-05-2004 11:13 AM

that is teh poos. :upset:
