Restistant Culture was ment to play the show i saw but they cancelled. :(

Subvert_bassist 06-22-2006 10:29 PM

We played with them last week. They're nuts. All hella nice guys, too. Scott, the higher vocalist, said RAMBO was supposed to play in his living room, but they got sent back at the US-Canada border. That would have been crazy.

No, those shorts are Dickies. They're badass though.

cbmartinez 06-23-2006 11:00 AM

I think mine might be Dickies actually. I'll check it. Either way, brown rules.

RetiredAt21 06-23-2006 11:50 AM

I like brown shirts.

echos 06-23-2006 03:13 PM

brown/lime green

I just started to get back into the #12. They're more easy to listen to then I remember but that's cool with me.

Subvert_bassist 06-24-2006 12:40 PM

A local free paper called Sacramento News and Review, which reports all entertainment stuff in the area, even punk and metal, printed a thing for the fest we're playing this weekend. On our day, it said:

Verbal Abuse
Annihilation Time
Doves Lie Down
+More!

They spelled our name wrong. What the hell.

oh yeah

Theramed 06-26-2006 03:39 AM

I like magrudergrind

Subvert_bassist 06-26-2006 04:22 AM

Bands I find amazing: Tragedy, Graves At Sea, Grief, Ekkaia, and Dystopia. Anyone agree?

P.S: The fest with Verbal Abuse and Annihilation Time today was a complete blowout. They guy was too greedy and did very little promotion; next to no one was there.

RetiredAt21 06-26-2006 07:18 AM

I totally agree with you. I never heard Graves At Sea, though.

Subvert_bassist 06-26-2006 02:23 PM

****ing amazing. Like Grief but better. Here's a song of thier demo:

Ross 06-26-2006 04:22 PM

So, I just discovered Pig Destroyer and Grindcore. And so I thought I'd start posting in punk, fo sho.

Where should I go from here, with my newfound Grind taste? Obviously there are loads of bands on the first page of this thread... are there any that are paticularly standout bands that I should check out?

Theramed 06-26-2006 04:33 PM

pig destroyer, phobia and napalm death are like the big three, my favourites are magrudergrind, extreme noise terror and combatwoundedveteram are alright too. theres the band list thing aswell

Ross 06-26-2006 04:47 PM

Cool, cheers for the info. *heads for amazon*

clustifux 06-27-2006 01:51 AM
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REPOST... WE WOULD APPRECIATE IT!

Mike Bartek is no longer a part of CODC and for the indefinite time being we are forced into hiatus. We apologize to the promoters and bands we have had shows booked with as well as the fans, as we were about 3/4 of the way through the next full-length release. There was absolutely no way around this. Mike had a list of "qualities" that would have had him tossed from most bands, but friendship was what mostly kept him with us. This time he crossed way over the line and defecated on any concepts of friendship and respect possible and stooped lower than we thought even he would ever go.

So he is gone and an ugly part of the Circles past and, for anyone who has followed CODC through the years, we are once again in the situation of finding a new member. Joe, Jason and Drew have decided to continue on and feel that ultimately, Mike's departure will be a huge blessing in disguise for CODC. After 3 drummers, 3 bass players and 3 guitarists, the machine will hopefully continue on. Plenty of skulls still need crushed.

We will begin tryouts for a new drummer asap. If interested, please contact CODC at salo120@circleofdeadchildren.net We are located in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.
Fucking lame, but I know someone(s) on here is from Pennsylvania so maybe one of you might end up destroying with these guys?

RetiredAt21 06-27-2006 07:48 PM

I'll drum for them, rofl.

whiteminority 06-27-2006 09:23 PM

Fucking Do It

Liebensaft 06-27-2006 09:33 PM

I live on the wrong side of the state. And don't drum.

RetiredAt21 06-28-2006 07:55 AM

I don't drum either. If they needed a guitar player, I would totally try out.

cbmartinez 06-28-2006 10:33 AM

You'd probably skip band practice to smoke crack.

whiteminority 06-28-2006 10:41 AM

Those crack smoking jokes never get old. :)

cbmartinez 06-28-2006 10:41 AM

clustifux 06-28-2006 01:30 PM
