Still more excited for the 2 asob shows in September and the new BTMI album.
I've seen Streetlight twice as headliners. Their first 3 shows in 2004 and then the tour with Whole Wheat Bread... probably in 2005. |
saw them last night, and it was awesome. They played Impressed and a new song that wasnt on youtube. That song was really good and showed a dominant ska chord.
[QUOTE=Jessizzle;14935687]ska fest 06.

man, if you were there, then you must of met me. because i met everyone that night, three times.
Saw Streetlight the other night in Michigan. Good stuff. They played around 3 new songs, and Tomas said the new album is recorded and just needs to be mixed and things of that nature.
Where in Michigan? I wanted to be at the show in Grand Rapids, but I was in another state.

I was at the GR show. |
Sweet. The Intersection is a good venue.
I'm buying streetlight tix this weekend for cleveland. They're playing at one of our smaller venues, not like House of Blues last time. In my opinion, they have taken ska, and turned it into a serious genre of music. And I reward them for that. It's become more sophistocated, and serious. However, I still do enjoy the fun ska. Which is why with Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto, and Against All Authority (eh), this should be the best show I've ever been to.
^ i just came back from that show and it was AMAZING. AAA was nothing special all the songs sound the same(fast punk for verse/chorus, then a trumpet interlude). Next was SM after some technical difficulties they played awesome, the whole crowd was singin everyword besides for the 2 new songs they played. The RBF was up and they have to have the best stage presnce of any band ever, they played really tight. they did a fews songs off thier new album and they started the show with sellout which is unusual. Then LTj was on but i didnt stay fo them since i saw them less than 2 months ago.
I just got back from thier show, it was alright Streetlight didnt play that much only like 45 minutes but they did good, AAA sucked and so did Reel Big Fish. It was meehh..
I half want to see this tour but
A) Bad venue/expensive as s'hit B) Want to see Streetlight headline. Meh. I dunno. |
I would save your money and wait till Streetlight headlines are tour.
When I saw streetlight headline it was cheaper than when I saw them with RBF, one of the reasons the first show was better.
I wish that the Gig Diary thread wasn't deleted by hackers, because I'm pretty sure I wrote a review of the show in there. |
yeep, im seeing them headline for 14$ wooo

They announced some Canada dates to the site, I guess that's what he means. But they are probably the same dates that you have been talking about for weeks.

I'm seeing Streetlight on the 18th in Columbus. I saw them back in November in Pittsburgh (with RBF again). They were amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing them again, seeing as I've been a big fan for a little over a year now.
